Wonderful pictures of you and Bob!!

bob-haller 23 years, 5 months ago

I will have to get after Jen for not updating... Of course I am guilty too:(. Anyhow were both doing fine, had some after pictures taken yesterday. Us and our dogs with santa. 3 years apart. Even the same santa. The difference will amaze you. We should have them in a week. I saw the electronic image. She has more to loose but were going to put the before and after on our christmas card mailer. The before was our card several years ago. Anyhow Jen my wonderful wife has lost over 100 POUNDS! She is wearing heels occasionally, dresses, makeup, and dangle earrings. Her belly has lots of extra skin and I have been happy to help her trying on corsets:) Although none have done the job. She has talked about getting one made for special occasions. The other day she tried on a pair of spikey high heel knee boots but her calfs are still a bit too big. She needs the wide calf version the store didnt carry. I am THRILLED with my emerging butterfly of a wife! Hopefully by this time next year she will be pregnant! Can you tell I am happy? For pre ops reading this. Its true, WLS makes our dreams come true.

Hello Bob and Jen~~~~~Good to hear from you! I was relatively new to the board when Wanda had her surgery. I post to her page frequently. I have also had you two in my prayers as well as Jack and Wanda. Great job, Jen. I guess this is the first I knew you had WLS also. Even though things have been hard due to Wanda's health please remember we miss you guys, too. I wish I could say more to ease your pain. Just take one day at a time. The prayers on AMOS are strong! You two keep up the great job on your journeys. May God bless you and keep you in His peace.

Since Jen doesnt update her profile I thought I would stop by once again with a update. Her surgery was December 10th. Jen is now down 49 pounds and doing great. She is breathing so much better and off many of her prescription drugs. On another subject I want to thank all of you for the prayers and support for Wanda Smart. I know many of you are reading her hubbys daily updates on her situation. Posting to her surgery page has dropped off a lot. I would appreciate it if you could stop by there yet again with some well wishes. I was wandas inspiration, and truthfully this is a nightmare for me. I shudder to think what her family must be going thru.

Jen, I'm so glad you are making such great progress after surgery and to hear you are going back to work soon. Hope to hear from you when you get a few minutes. I wish you the best.

Since Jen isnt as dilligent about updating her profile I thought I would help her with this. At her one month appointment she lost 31 pounds in 31 days. She is moving and breathing better, and working hard at getting her water and protein in. Actually I think she can eat a bit more than I could post op at about the same time. She will be returning to work about the first of February, to allow her enough additional weight loss to do her nursing job well. No use returning to work and getting ill again. We have started exercising by swimming at the local high school pool. This may b increasing our appetite, but its good exercise. I am thrilled that Jen has turned the corner and settling in as a post op.. Thanks to everyone here during her rough early post op days.

Jen...what wonderful news about your "loss"! I am thrilled for you and still anxious to see you at a group meeting soon. I probably won't recognize you by February/March at the rate you are going....keep up the good work and don't let Bob run you too ragged! LOL!!!!

Well Jen has now lost 27 pounds in 27 days. I am very happy for her. She doesnt yet see the change in her appearance but I do. Her face espically looks thinner, and she is walkng better, and looking less tired. She will be returning to work soon, we need the money. I am THRILLED with her progress!
