Hi Carolyn, I completely understand the brain thing my surgery is June 6th and I can't think of anything else either. It is so good to know others who are close to theer dates feel this way too. At Least I am not going crazy. I pray you have a smooth surgery and a speedy recovery. God Bless...Karla

Hi Amos Gang! It's been a while since I've posted. Have been desperately trying to pass the hours and stay sane and keep from getting an ulcer! Have found some great groups to share with, only now I'm to nervous to share! My pre-op appointment is today at 4:30 with Dr. Keith Boone, Valley Surgical in Fresno. Terrific surgeon, great man... My surgery has been moved to 12:30 p.m.; still on Friday, May 31st. With the holiday I have just 2 days to get labs done unless I squeeze under the wire today. {Please God!} I've created a forum for those of us who are RnYer's, open or lap, with surgeries between May 24 and June 8th of this year. Not to replace this fantastic site, impossible task, and not to conflict with other very good boards, but to hone in on our procedure and date range so any interested can walk this walk together in a concise format. Let me know if this interests any of you...fast too, Thursday is just around the corner. Best to Audrey Rocha and all other post-op's, and pre-ops hoping [praying] and waiting. Thanks guys. Carolyn - we don't share a surgery date, but we share a name! My lap rny was 4/30 and three weeks post op I've lost 33.5 pounds. All I can say is walk, walk, walk, and drink, drink, drink. My prayer for you is an uneventful surgery with no complications and an easy recovery. This journey is a blast - be prepared! Hugs and blessings!

Hi Carolyn,We share the same surgery date.Hope everything goes well for you.I am 50 and have 3 Granchildren I just adore.I worry about my age having an effect on the surgery but it is the lesser of two evils!Good Luck on your surgery!!
