~~j~~Angel Alert~~j~~ I talked with Karen tonight, and she sounded great! She said Sunday and Monday were really rough, but she is starting to feel so much better! She has tried pureed foods, and says she can tell when her new stomach is getting full... It has been five days since her surgery, and she will be going home tomorrow or Friday. WHOO HOO...Way to go Karen! You're on the road to a much healthier life!! I'm sooo happy and excited for you! Thank You to everyone who has e-mailed Karen with your warm wishes and prayers...Can't wait to join you on the other side! {{{love and hugs}}} ~Heidi

Karen I am so very glad to read that you are feeling somewhat better. I just got done reading an email your DH just sent me. YOU ARE A LUCKY WOMAN!!! I sent him back mail and asked him a couple of questions. You guys are probably sick of me by now. ^j^ Angel Update ^j^ Talked with Ashley and Karen seems to be doing just fine and is in good spirits! She has been restricted back to just water and ice chips for now, but she is ok with that. She is up and walking quite a bit, and the nurses come in to give her shots for pain when needed. Way to go Karen!! So happy that your feeling better! -God is good, and may he continue to bless us all! ~Heidi

~j~Angel Updating for Karen~j~ I just got off the phone with Karen's daughter Ashley~ She says her mom looks much better today and is feeling better too. Karen was able to eat a little applesauce and mashed potatoes yesterday, but back to just liquids today, because the Dr. is watching what the draining tube is producing....X-rays came back and seem to be ok. They will see how things go until tomorrow, then she may be able to go home. Thank You dear Ashley for looking after your precious mother and taking the time to talk to me. Please keep Karen in your thoughts & prayers. I know you'll be home soon Karen, and this all will be behind you! You've just begun your new, healthy life, and I am so proud and happy for you!
