It will be 4 years next month , my weight is still down but I scarificed a lot of my life for this look. Would I do this again NO, I like looking thin or not being fat, but I wish I had sought other alternatives. Pray much before you do this. Talk with the people who love you now just as you are.

D Barr, I am so sorry that you have had such a horrible experience with your surgery. I have talked with several people that has told me they would not do it again. I have a wonderful friend that is 3 wks post op and she swears she would never do it again. I told her I would wait a year and then ask her the same question. Yes, I agree with you this surgery is not for everyone and the only reason anyone should do it is for themselves not for everyone else. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that you will be filling better soon. :-)

It's been alsmost 3 year now. I am 100 pounds ligher and thousands of dollars lighter. I wear been a size 10 or 12 now. But I have been through HELL. I have been hospitized at least 4 time, 3 minor surgeries for narrowing by scare tissue and a bowel obstruction. NO I would not do this again, THis is not for everyone, I than God for the support of my family. If I had not had that I proably would not have made it. I am still on pain medication and I can;t eat comfortably most of the time. Pray and get an answer before taking this sugery on.

I wish you the best with your surgery this week.14 weeks and almost 60 lbs later I can definately say this is the greatest thing I have ever done for myself.Keep us posted on your progress. God Bless~Kim
