Dear Marcie.........you are a beautiful girl and deserve all the good things in life. I pray you get them and a great husband that will also be a wonderful father to your son. I'm no Miss Cleo but I predict your foot and your EX's backside are going to meet in the very near future. Congratulations on that in advance! God bless you in all you do. :)

Dear Marcie~~~You are in my thoughts today. Try to treat yourself gently. Leave what is in the past there, try to learn from it and move on. Your son loves you and that what is important. Be well, be happy, be blessed.

MARCIE, THIS MAY SOUND DUMB, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I DO WHEN I AM HAVING TROUBLE CARING FOR MYSELF? I PUT MY DAUGHTER IN MY PLACE. I HAD A RELATIONSHIP WITH A SISTER WHOM I LOVED DEARLY, BUT SHE USED ME, SHE STOLE FROM ME, SHE PLAYED GAMES WITH ME. I TOOK IT AND TOOK IT, BECAUSE I LOVE HER AND SHE IS MY SISTER, THEN ONE DAY I THOUGHT WHAT IF SHE WERE TO DO THAT TO MY DAUGHTER, WOULD I PUT UP WITH IT? HECK NO! LITTLE BY LITTLE I BEGAN TO CHANGE THE WAY I DELT WITH HER. TODAY WE ARE NOT AS CLOSE, BUT I AM MUCH HAPPIER. YOU HAVE A SON TO THINK ABOUT. DO YOU WANT HIM TO SEE YOU UNHAPPY? DO YOU WANT HIM TO GROW UP TO BE STRONG? IF HE SEE'S YOU BEING A DOOR MAT HE WILL THINK THAT'S OKAY. MARCIE, IT IS NOT OKAY! I HOPE EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FOR YOU.

Marcie, you always make my heart ache to read your posts about your ex. Mine is a loser from the word go, too. We can pity them and help them when it's feasible and not too much of a strain on us but to do any more just enables them to continue the way they are. Mine is homeless for the 3rd time, and a friend is putting him up or is it putting up with him? lol He is a daddy to our three boys when he can find the time and no more, so I know where you are. He would love to be back with me but I do NOT need the aggravation. I am trying to rebuild my life and make it better for my kids. New home, new car, new body, soon to be a new and better job and then when I am where I want to be, I will worry about finding a new man who can love me as I am. Good luck to you, hun and feel free to email me anytime you like.

Marcie, Tough love is the hardest thing to do. I know, I have been there with my son. But in the end it almost always will work. Your ex has to hit rock bottom before he can even begin to acknowledge he needs to climb the mountain. He is not your responsibility, and you shouldn't feel bad for his choices. He made them.. But I know how hard it is to actually follow through with that. Try to though.. in the end he will choose to improve his life and do what is necessary to do it. My husband got laid off 3 months ago. He was making nearly 30 bucks an hour, after two months he finally gave up trying to get a job in his field and registered with a temp. agency. He is now making 11 bucks an hr. pulling old papers out of file boxes (he is an telecom /electronics engineer). He finally hit the point that he was willing to do what ever was necessary to improve his life. Your ex. will too. Keep holding on to your faith and strength. You are doing great! Tami

Marcie, I'm so sorry to hear about the situation with your ex. I can see how upset and frustrated you are and can only imagine how awful it would be to see him living in his car. My thoughts and prayers are with you both as you struggle through this tough time. Congratulations to you on your decision to return to college.
