When is your surgery scheduled? I've found this to be much easier than I had expected, and have lost 25 lbs. this month. Be good to yourself: get the tastiest shakes and such you can find, blend everything eith ice so you don't taste sthe protein powder, and buy yourself flowers to cheer up your home. Despite your name, you won't be obese forever. You will lose weight faster than ever before, and learn a new way to live. Follow the plan religiously and you'll reach your goal!

Follow the preoperative diet plan I was given, and keep looking at the calendar. Following the diet makes the surgery safer, and I want anesthesia to be as safe as possible.

Dena, I see that you're having surgery on Monday, and I wanted to let you know that it's nowhere near as bad as I had been led to believe. I just had my surgery ten days ago (4/20/17), and feel almost healed. I drink my shakes, sip my water and lose about a pound a day. I had several complications during surgery due to some unrelated health issues, and I still was up and ready to leave by the third day. I have never been in serious pain, and I can drink my shakes withotu feeling overfull, despite what I had heard. Enough about me. If you are nervous, it's only natural. Surgery is not a walk in the park for anyone, which is why you probably had to do a ton of prep. You'll do fine, and I'll be virtually holding your hand. I hope you have shakes, jello, and diet juice at home and on hand for when you return. I got my things in advance, and am so glad I did. Train a family member or two to make your shakes for the first day or two at home. I like mine with twelve ice cubes and run through the blender. My daughter made them for me for the first few days. Anyway, get some rest, and I hope my experience so far is helping you feel less nervous. Remember, you have lots of people rooting for you!

Deb, I just had my surgery ten days ago, and I was very afraid the night before. I hadn't slept at all, and was dressed and ready at 3:00 am! Fortunately, everything turned out well, and I'm losing about a pound a day. As of now, If you're afraid, just feel me virtually holding your hand. I hope you have as good an experience as I am having, with kind doctors, nurses and staff at the bariatric center. My family is there for me, as I hope yours is for you. Be safe and happy, and I hope to hear from you as we go through this journey together.

I just had my surgery on April 20, and even though I had complications, it hasn't been all that bad. I drink my shakes, sip on water, and have lost about a pound a day. I have no idea if this is high, low or normal, but I am pretty stoked. I hope that your surgical experience is as good as mine, and that you'll be shopping for new clothes inno time!
