O.K. I have been on OH for a few weeks now and I have meet the most amazing people all doing amazing things with their lives. I have been going back in fourth between getting the LapBand or a Gastric Bypass. I think I'm leaning towards the gastric bypass. But - yesterday I was told by my insurace that I have to weight 1 year and loss 10% of my weight, before I can quilify. I can't believe this...I was told that I was already approved. so .....now.... I'm bummed out! I will think of something, some how, some way! ~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I just joined and I'm thinking about the lapband v's gastric bypass....so what better place to find out non-medical opinions! I'm scared to have either,but I'm leaning more towards the lapband since it is reversable. I'm 5'6'' and about 270 lbs. I want to loss about 125 lbs and I'm soooo afraid of the sagging skin - which I've heard is worse with the gtastric bypass due to rapid weight loss. Any advice?
