"I have had a great experience with my surgeon. He is a very competent surgeon with a great bedside manner. While in the hospital, he stopped by everyday and even called each night to check up on me. I would highly recommend Dr. G and his staff to anyone.
My hospital stay wasn't such a great experience. I'm a very independent person but the day after surgery, I needed some assistance. I was very weak and unsteady on my feet. The day after surgery, I was put into a chair early morning and left there till about 5. The nurse started to bathe me and in the middle had to leave. I sat there for 45 min before she returned to finish. It took 1.5 hrs to get nausea meds and 2 hrs to get pain meds. After I was up and moving, things were fine (since I was capable to doing things for myself). While this was my personal experience, I would do it all over again because of my surgeon. I would just be more educated about the situation."
