Jonathan Aranow

"My first impression of Dr. Aranow was quick intelligence, confidence and competence. He has not disappointed. Extremely competent, my surgery went smoothly, healing was quick, uneventful and successful. My only complaint overall is getting time with him. He has many patients and scheduling a routine appointment means a six week wait at least. I expect to wait at least a half hour before I'm seen. He has proven to me though, that when I need his time, he is more than willing to give it. I want to add that I do not doubt that I could see Dr. Aranow immediately should the situation require it. The staff seems geared to addressing needs as quickly as possible and I know he is committed to the best care he can provide. Office staff are competent, caring, thorough. Lois is the best! Period. Overall, it is encouraging and reassuring to have a structured support program for weight loss pre and post op, with a nutritionist, a psychologist, support groups and a hospital dedicated to WLS. I rate Dr. Aranow as top of the line, caring, competent, direct. You can't ask for more than what he and his staff provide, which is excellence. More time with him would be great but he's only one man. I'm grateful to be one of the patients of such a brilliant surgeon. "

Middlesex Hospital (COE)

"This is a great hospital and the obesity staff are well informed, supportive and state of the art in terms of knowledge and having the right tools for everyone. I LOVE THE STAFF. THEY ARE WONDERFUL AND THIS NEEDS TO BE SAID. But the room sizes are horrific. There is no room for more than one visitor, for a chair, for even the equipment. Every time I had to go urinate, I had to get up and reach around my bedside table to unplug my IV, tangling wires. It was quite a chore just to urinate. The rooms are really for one patient not two. My roommate was a very sick woman who did not use the bathroom, so it was fortunate in that we did not have colliding bathroom schedules, but there was a problem with the urine. No one was collecting data, so my "hat" was often filled and waiting. It got to the point where I took the measure and emptied it myself. All this may sound trivial but living it after having had surgery was less than what I had expected, particularly because this is supposedly a "magnet" hospital. I was very fortunate in that I had no complication and only one visitor. Had I needed other equipment or had I had one other visitor it would have been a terrible mess. "

Syntrax Matrix Sustained-Release Protein Blend, Simply Vanilla

"Superb! Delicious flavor...vanilla with a slight coconut undertone, smooth, no grit, pure white. I have used it as a base for any type of shake: banana, pineapple, mango, strawberry, chocolate (with swiss miss sugar free), cantalope and it is just marvelous. Tends to thicken up a little too much with yogurt. The other night I made a simple shake with water and ice and Matrix and it was out of this world: refreshing, cool, light and filling. This protein mix has made me a believer! THE BEST!!"
