Hi Cheryl -- I'm so sorry you had to go through another 'scope! :-( I hope this one "takes" and that you'll continue doing really well, but *without* this little "detour" in the journey. Good luck!!

Hi Cheryl, 1st off I want to congratulate you on your surgery! I can understand your feelings about work and eating I too was nervous about it when I 1st returned back to work but it all worked out fine. I just bring a bag lunch and keep it simple either something 1)left over from the dinner meal 2)crackers 3 and an oz of lunch meat and a slice of cheese, and make 3 open face little sandwiches. 3) cottage cheese and fruit 4) shrimp cocktail (yummy) 5) salad and add your favorite protein. 6)1\2 of a sandwich bread toasted at work if possible 7) 12 cup of soup and a small salad 8) 1\2 detour bar 9) cream of wheat :o) good anytime of the day 10) tuna salad and crackers lots of ideals and I know you will come up with many more when you are not so concerned with food in the work place. hope this helps hugs and God Bless Maureen

Cheryl, congrats on the weight loss. I had surgery the same day as you!! :-) I had lap RNY. Sounds like you are in better spirits and enjoying the weight loss. I have lost 35 pounds. So we are close in that as well. Well, I just wanted to say congratulations and good luck with the rest of your journey.

Hi everyone, I am told my posting problem will be fixed soon so I can post normal! Found out today, my problem of not being able to get any food down is probably a "stenosis" so I am going in to get scoped this week. I remember the last time I was scoped was for my GERD and I almost belted the doc. Now they tell me they will put me under twilight to do this procedure. Hopefully, just a bump in the road. The good thing is, I got permission to drop one of my blood pressure meds today. I have to monitor it for a month and if all is well I can drop the other one! I'll let you know how the scope goes. Thanks for listening!

Wow, it was so good to see Suzy C. and Leilani posting. Both of you have helped me so much in my journey. Long talk with my angel Sharon N too tonight, I am going to call my surgeon on Monday if I still can't get any food down without it getting stuck. This site is such a blessing to me! OK, I can get a little mushy!!

STILL posting from my surgery page, hoping the IT people get this fixed soon!! I am 3 weeks out now and down 25 pounds! I am still learning (mostly the hard way) how to NOT over fill my new tummy. I get head hunger like you wouldn't believe and then I try to eat it and the pain demons come for a visit. I never seem to learn anything the easy way! Remember August 4th NYC, anyone interested, please email myself or Sharon Neva for details. We will be at the TODAY show with our OH shirts on and LOOKIN GOOD!! Have a great weekend everyone!
