Dr Alspaugh was assigned to me when I was admitted to the hospital for severe blood clots in February, 2000. His work was amazing. I had additional plastic surgery with him to further close my leg wounds a few years later - again, Dr. Alspaugh (and his staff) were marvelous. I intend on using him again after the bariatric surgery is complete (and a significant amount of time has passed, of course). Note: my answers to the "Obesity-Specific" section reflect his attitudes towards me when he knew I wanted to have the gastric bypass surgery a few years ago. He has always had an amazing ... "straightforward" attitude - he suggested I wait for further plastic surgery until *after* gastric bypass.

I feel the surgeons skills were adequate and the surgical result was satisfactory but bedside manner and pre-op preparation was lacking. I did not feel the staff or physical took time with you as a person. There seems to be a shuffle to get you in and get you out.When you visit with the doctor it's very rushed. When the office tells you they will call you back it usually requires another telephone call to them to get an answer. I have another procedure that has been approved but I would not use this office again. I would not use this office, although I have some areas I am not happy with I will have another surgeon look at them.I chose this physician from referral by my bypass surgeon (who was excellent).
