I was in constant pain due to the fact that everytime I was given a breathing treatment or my blood pressure was checked my nurse call button and my pca button was moved and hung on my IV pole so I wasn't able to reach either one.

Had a very nice room, but the sleep cot was terrible for my husband, a recliner, would have been better.

I was very lucky that I was given a brand new "huge" room. It was twice the size of a regular hospital room. And the bathroom area was 2-3 times bigger than normal. They had recently rearranged rooms and I was given this one! One no-no: upon leaving the hospital, they had a wheelchair ready for me that was extremely small. Too Small! The attendant said it would take about 20 minutes to get a bigger one, so I just decided to walk to the exit!

i felt they didnt know enough about the surgery i had... evry time i asked a question they didnt know the answer.

I did not feel that the nurses were equipped (in knowledge) to deal effectively with gastric bypass patients.

The nurses were excellent. The people who transport you to have tests run wer okay. They weren't as careful as they should be. They accidentally rammed my bed into the counter with me in it the day after surgery.OUCH! Then they broke my bed and tried to make me use it anyway. I was very upset. After some searching they found me another bed that worked. It took forever for them to discharge me. At least the nurses and the helpers were GREAT!

I did not like it one bit i never got my drink or pain medicine and the person who took my blood needed alot more practice.
