Northside Hospital-Atlanta Hospital

I couldn't have had a better experience if I had been a millionaire. The staff at Northside were respectfull, attentive and knowledgeable. After having an open hysterectomy at a different hospital in Atlanta and getting a raging infection there, I was a little apprehensive of having the same outcome. No such worry at Northside. The nurses were SO fast at responding to my needs, that I didn't even have a chance to have a need!

I had my gastric bypass on Dec 5, 2012. Tis was the biggest decision I have ever made for myself. The staff at Northside were caring and compassionate throughout all of my pre-op testing, pre-surgery morning, and post-surgery recovery. I have given birth 4 times and thought I knew what to expect at a hospital. I was wrong. I have never been treated so well by medical staff...and I am. Nurse myself! The hospital was clean, nice looking, and the rooms were spacious. For once,I didn't feel like "the fat one" tht everyone wants to avoid. I felt like a real person with people who really cared. The supported my recovery without being overbearing. Based on this experience, I will never go to another hospital for any other medical procedure again. It was a perfect start to my new life,

Northside Hospital has an entire section and staff dedicated to Bariatric Surgery. They were Amazing! The staff were really Caring and Compassionate. It was almost like being in a Spa! Awesome and Beautiful Experience!

I had gastric sleeve surgery at Northside Hospital on 11/30/11. The staff, from pre-op to recovery to 4C Bariatrics, were all kind, caring, and the utmost professionals. These people know what they are doing. They reassured me in pre-op (thank you Kris!!) and in the OR even put a pillow under my knees so I'd be comfortable on the operating table before surgery started. So nice! Before I was admitted, pre-op consultations were efficient and thorough. Bariatric RN coordinator Debbie Spamer also deserves a special nod for her kind reassurances and explanations of what to expect before and after surgery.

There are alot of hospitals in the Atlanta metro area that want your business for bariatric surgery. I worked in the medical field for 22 years, and I know professionals when I see them. They're at Northside. I highly recommend this hospital.

I would like to start out by saying that if I had a choice on what hospital I could go to all the time, it would be Northside. The staff was extremely knowledgable and tended to the needs of the patient. The nurses in the bariatric unit were kind and really worked with your larger than life patient. The hospital was overall outstanding!!!!! My wife was treated with respect and they looked after her needs as well as mines. The medical team was outstanding and treated me with great care. I would recommend this hospital to anyone looking to have this procedure done.

My experience at Northside was indeed a GREAT one. I have NO complaints! The staff was great, and they kept the place clean. The people at that hospital care for their patients, and I was completely satisfied!

Great hospital with great staff - highly recommended

I was very pleased. The staff was very consistently responsive and helpful. They did a very good job. Honestly, I do not have anything worth noting to complain about.

They run commercials on the radio about their bariatric services and they are no exaggeration. I highly recommend them.
