McLaren Regional Medical Center Hospital

I requested a private room, which I definitely recommend to others. My family was able to visit me at any time and stay for as long as they wanted. There was a very large bathroom that was super easy to get around in. Bariatric patients receive special bariatric beds. They have large wheelchairs. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was even an RN on the floor who had the surgery herself.
My complaints:
One of the CNA's was totally rude and not very helpful.
They want you to do most everything for yourself, but there are just some things you cannot do, for example reach to wash certain places. The CNA's won't do that for you.
I had to wait a pretty long time for help after I had pushed the call button. Someone asked what I needed right away, but then apparently forgot to tell my nurse about it. Other times when I pushed the button, someone came in right away. It all depends on who is working and how busy they are at that time, I guess.
