Tim Robarts Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

Dr. Robarts is an extremely talented surgeon and his staff as well as SMMC's staff treated me very well.

He is a lot younger than I had expected but I had been wathcing his work (not just WLS, general surgery) for quite some time so I was feeling pretty good about his reputation. The staff are very thorough, he asks lots of questions and made me feel very accepted and comfortable. Not only in my previous research but with my consult as well I saw that he is very dedicated and concerned about is patients and tends to follow up well with them. Looking forward to working with him!

I knew of Dr. Robarts for about 8 years. He performed surgery on my father twice. Once was for an Qneurysm and the other was for gallbladder. He is well know at our local hopital. I had all the confidence in the world in him.
When I had my consultation with him he was very up front about the risk and he took the time to answer any question I had. He is a wonderful surgeon.
I loved his staff. His nurse, Joy is wonderful. She works so hard to make sure everything is done right. She is always quick to call back when I've left messages. She also goes through this step by step and what to expect. If every surgery had this much information, people would be prepared and ready for surgery.
I can honestly say I had no problems with my doctor. I think a lot of him. I would highly recommend him for anyone considering this surgery.
The hospital offers a support group once a month. I attended 4 before my surgery and loved being there. I found it very educaitonal. I also loved seeing the changes in poeple over the months.
Upon insurance approval we were given a notebook. It listed everything we needed to know about the surgery. Also listed in the nurse and dietitians phone numbers and e-mail. We can call or email anytime and they get right back with us.
If I had to rate Dr. Robarts on a scale of 1 to 10 he would get a 10+. He has been very involved in this whole process and really cares. He is a wonderful surgeon. If you live close by or are paying for your own surgery, you will not be disappointed!!!
