I was very pleased with him and his nurse Dawn the friday after I had the surgery I was not feeling all that good and could not explain why and he came in and talked to me and said I looked good. When I was discharged from the hospital that he wanted me to make sure I drank and moved so I would not have any problems. His nurse sees you first and disscribes everything to you and then you talk to him. I am very pleased and would go back to him if I had to do over again.

I really liked Dr. Greenberg and his assistant Dawn when I met them on Sept. 25,2002. They have been there to answer any question or concern my family or I have had. They took care of all the insurance paperwork and is even doing the surgery on the week of Thanksgiving. The dr. does not do the surgery and send you on your way. He stresses aftercare and follow you completely through before, during, and after the surgery. Very thourough. All risks, benefits, and aftercare was explained very well and answered questions promptly.

On the first visit the Doctor and his assistant Dawn both talked to me about the surgery itself and complications, as well as my expectations. They both answered my questions and were very friendly.
I had to get a psych evaluation twice, but when they got the second one, the Surgeon was very positive. It made me feel good that I hadn't given up.
I liked that Dr Greenburg and Dawn (his assistant) always spoke to me as if the surgery was definitely going to happen. They were always very positive.
Although I didnt get to spend a lot of time talking to the Surgeon, I didnt feel shortchanged because I had already done a lot of research on my own. Although the office staff were very helpful and friendly they were clearly understaffed (there seemed to be three or four surgeons sharing the same office suite).

I have not yet met Dr. Greenberg, however, my first consultation with him is on 5/2/01. Thus far I have dealt with his receptionist, scheduling nurse, dietitian, and the receptionist at the physchologist (where I'm being referred for the evaluation), all have been extremely pleasant and very helpful. I will update this after my first visit.

Well I had my initial consult on 5/2/01. I met Dr. Greenberg and his surgery RN Dawn. Both were very pleasant. I asked Dr. Greenberg how many gastric bypasses he has performed and he told me seven (7). Dr. Greenberg was very open to my questions and is a very nice person. Dr. Greenberg and Dawn did make sure I did know the benefits and risks of the surgery. My next appt is 5/30/01 @ 12:30p. But they will try to move it up!

I had my psych eval on 5/3/01. Dr. McCafferty, the psychiatrist was so nice. His office is located on a second floor of a building and he came down to the first floor to interview me, since I am still now weight-bearing on my left foot. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs the eval! :)

I have my meeting with the dietician tomorrow (5/7/01) and will update after that.

Beth, the dietician is so nice. We basically worked on what I should be eating to get my body ready for post-op eating. She will meet me again a couple days post-op, while I am still in the hospital.
5/8/01: Good news, my 2nd consult is 5/23/01 at 12:30p.:) Hopefully I'll get my surgery date then!

6/3/01: I did get my date on the 23rd, which is 6/19/01!!!! I asked Dr. Greenberg if I have to fast or anything the day before and he only told me to eat a light supper the night before. I also called and left a message for him last week about a vitamin B-12 nasal spray my PCP suggested and he called me back and said that is okay. This way it is a squirt once a week at home instead of a shot once a month at a doctor's office! :)
