I had an exemplary experience with Dr Pompa and the rest of her team. The program was very efficiently run and everyone who contributed to my care was very professional and competent. She and her staff were there to make me feel as comfortable as possible. The surgical center is small, but very nice and clean and modern. The nurses: Alexandra, Adrienne, Poloma and the Nut Daniella were great. One of the things I was most impressed about was the pre-op screening. I did blood work, EKG and a GI X-ray, all done by Either Dr. Pompa or Alexandra. The total process pre-op took about an hour. I then met with the anesthesiologist, who was able to assist with connecting my IV. It was hard to get my veins to act right. I am thankful for the night nurse, Chris. I must have called him every other hour. Between the gas pain, the drain, and having to sleep on my back, this was the most uncomfortable part of my experience. I am thankful that he was there to encourage me and remind me that this was only temporary. This is only the beginning of my testimony. There is more to come with me and my banana :)

After having Lap Band surgery in 2005, I experienced slippage and erosion and had to have it removed. After a year, I gained 90 pounds. I knew I had to do something. So I schedule a Sleeve Gasterectomy with Dr. Pompa. I was so shocked!!! This was a beautiful facility, the staff all spoke excellent English.Dr. Pompa is a very beautiful woman, and very intelligent. She told me what they would be doing, and also let me know that I would probably be an open procedure. We spoke about all the thing that could happen, but she put me at ease very fast. They have a full operating suite with a working recovery room with all the monitors and a recovery room nurse to stay until you are ready to be taken to your room. I was taken to my room and had a nurse checking on me every 15 to 20 minutes for I don't know how long. I had to have my procedure open due to the band being an open procedure. Dr. Pompa tried to use the Laporscope, but there was too much scare tissue. I was surprised that the pain was minimal. I had severe pain when the band was removed by another surgeon. I was treated like a queen at this facility. Dr. Pompa checked on me several times, and there were nurses in and out all the time. The care was like none other. This was my 3 weightloss procedure, and she was the best of any. The aftercare was great. Dr. Danniella went over all my paperwork and explained everthing to me. I had a phone number to call if I needed any help. I left with all my x-rays and OR report with all the information I would need to give to my GP. This was truly the best experience of all my surgeries. They have a very caring staff and it is as modern as any American facility. I was very impressed with the recovery room, They have all modr equipment, in a neat and clean environment. They did extensive testing before surgery and leak testing after. As I stated, the other facilities I would rate a 2 with LIMARP being a 10. Finally a place for great, safe surgery. They want use to say some negatives on our experienc, the only negative I saw was the toilet off one of the rooms is up several steps, it was hard to get there with an IV pole. You felt like you were on a throne..really.

First let me say I have never had a surgical experience in the USA, but I can comment on my experience with Dr. Pompa. On a scale of 1-10 she would get a 10 and her staff would as well. I have high blood pressure and instead of rushing me into surgery, Dr. Pompa and her staff warned me and were concerned with doing the surgery so they waited 24 hours and made sure to give me medication to get me ready for surgery. They are VERY caring and treat you like a king. I will say that it is highly recommended to take someone with you, my wife was an angel taking care of me along with the staff. Not only do they tell you about the surgery (I had VSG) but they go into great detail with the post op diet so that we head off into a good frame of mind for our lives post op. The question regarding surgical competence well she is amazing and bedside manner is just as great. I would highly recommend her to ANYONE considering VSG in Mexico. When I left out I honestly missed the staff they are great, but there is pain involved, VSG or Bypass or surgical procedures of any type have some pain involved and unless you are willing to endure the pain, do not do it.

The Surgeon and her staff were great. Once in Mexico and in the clinic I had to wait about an hour to see the surgeon because she was doing another procedure. rnrnThe internist, Dr. Thomas and the nurse came in to take out some blood but my veins were hiding from them I told them which ones to use and they actually listened. rnrnThen came in the cardiologist to checkout the lungs and heart beat. Later came in the candy man as he called himself (anesthesiologist). He sat down with my record and went over every operation I had, stents, heart problem and diabetes. Very nice guy, loved him. rnrnLater came in the Dr. Thomas and the nurse again and did EKG. The machine is a little old for my taste but worked great.rnrnDr. Pompa came in a while later. She is tiny, pretty and young. She introduced herself and asked if I had any questions. I just had one about my medication. My main concern was the heart. All I thought was I am going to make it so in the moment didn't ask what she was going to do with me. rnrnDr. Pompa explained the procedure and said she was waiting for my blood results this would tell her what medication I was going to need. Since I take Plavix and aspirin my blood is like water.rnrnEverything went well. The staff was amazing. I felt a little discomfort and they took care of me. Dr. Alex the night doctor would come in and check on me about 3 times a night. Tucked me in several times and made sure I had TV remote incase I woke up and wanted to watch something. She gave me all my drugs at night and encouraged me. She showed my husband to his room which was in the hospital; he did not need to stay in the hotel.rnrnDr. Thomas the morning doctor was great. He was very patient with getting me grossed out at my scars and when pulling the drain he was delicate. After the drain was pulled, I was complaining of pain he asked if I needed some pain killers. I told him no because I know that I am wuss and can’t stand pain. He laughed at me. He then explained how the operation was done; the diet to follow it strictly, gave me my folder and went page by page. Dr. Thomas was also very encouraging on my weight loss; he said that now I was going to look like a Barbie. rnrnDr. Pompa came in to check on me and the last day she went over the rules; very strict. Made sure I understood everything, she gave us her direct cell phone number if we could not get in touch with the staff. rnrnThe whole stay was great. I would go to LIMARP in heart beat. From the first phone call I made inquiring about LIMARP to my last visit with them was great. They are very friendly, informative and caring; they made sure my husband was taken care of as well.rn

I had my surgery, June 10th, 2009. I heard about Dr. Pompa from a good friend of mine, she gave me a phone number to get in touch with someone for information, that was Patty, she was soooo informative, so helpful. I was a lil nervous about it especially the fact of going to Mexico, somewhere where i knew nothing about. But from the time i got there, Dr. Pompa and her WHOLE staff made me feel soooo welcome, so comfortable!!! They took such good care of me from day one, it was like a family i havent seen in years. They were so organized about everything. My hospital and hotel stay was awesome, everything was soooo clean. If i had to do it over again i would DEFINATELY do it there again, and i would recommend them to anyone and everyone without hesitation!!! I never have gotten that much care here at home!! THANKS, DR. POMPA AND ALL THE STAFF!!!

I was very worried about having surgery since I had never had surgery before. The medical professionals at Limarp Clinic along with Dr. Pompa were all great. Attentive and knowledgable. I would definately recommend people to go here if you are looking for what surgeon you would like to use.

Doctor Pompa and her staff are incredible. Her office is beautiful and clean. I was stunned to know that 99% of the staff are all doctors! In MX, after high school, they go straight into med school and only have to do a one year residency to become doctors! I wondered why everyone was so young looking! I loved the warmth of the staff. They really made me feel comfortable. Everyone at home thought that I was going to die in surgery or get kidnapped while I was there, but MX was nothing like that at all. The accomodations we had were beautiful. Even the hotel staff were very very nice people. I felt safe and well cared for the entire time.rnI would like to add that Dr. Pompa is an extraordinary woman who is an inspiration to young women everywhere. Her accomplishments of being a professor of medicine and a bariatric surgeon at her young age is nothing short of superb. In fact, I believe she hand picked her staff of doctors from the university she taught at.

From the first time I met Dr. Pompa I knew She was the right surgeon for me. I was terrified of the surgery but we talked for a long time, she answered all my questions and was very honest about the risks and benefits of having surgery, that gave me peace of mind. She told me all about the aftercare program, she made me feel at ease.rnrn
