Choosing Dr. A as the surgeon to perform my VSG was one of the best decisions I have made in my lifetime. The level of skill and overall care provided by him, his surgical team, and every single staff member was amazing. I would recommend Dr. A to anyone wanting gastric sleeve surgery. He is simply the best.

I'm 3 months post-op and have lost 43 lbs since surgery. I have absolutely no regrets. From his coordinator to his hospital staff, and the follow-up received after surgery, their professionalism, knowledge, and experience is world class. I did a lot of research before making my decision to move forward with Dr. A, and am truly thankful for their guidance and expertise. Dr. Alvarez is an amazing surgeon, whom I recommend to anyone that is considering the VSG.

Dr. Alvarez and his staff are the best. I was very nervous to go to Mexico but have never felt more comfortable with the start of my stay until I left along with constant support after returning home. I received better care than I have anywhere in the states. I would recommend Dr. Alvarez to everyone and am so grateful for what the tool he has provided me. It truly was an amazing experience.

Dr. Alvarez is an incredible surgeon; he is warm and friendly, and despite his large success and incredible ability when it comes to VSG, he is down to earth with no superiority towards his patients or staff. I had VSG a month ago; no complications, the hospital stay was the best hospital stay I have ever had ANYWHERE, and I am from the U.S. I was nervous to go to Mexico for this surgery but as soon as I entered Dr. Alvarez's endohospital those fears started to dissolve. Every staff member does everything they can to make your stay as anxiety-free and comfortable as possible. I have never felt more cared for by a group of medical providers in my life. The attention they pay especially following the surgery is unparalleled to any medical care I've received in the U.S. I would go again in a heart beat, I do not regret my decision and frankly I wish they provided other types of medical care because I would go to them for EVERYTHING! The follow up care has been decent, make sure that you follow all of his guidelines in the different phases for recovery, he knows what he's talking about. And everything is written out phase by phase so there is no excuse to not follow it.

My name is Angelica, I am 24 years old. When I had my surgery at 23 I was morbidly obese. I kept having one miscarriage after another which was making me gain more weight. Finally, I sat down with my mom who had VGS in Mexico with doctor Alverez in March of 2017. I saw what the surgery did not only for her but for my dad. Sometimes it takes more than just diet and exercise like the stigma goes. Doctor A and his team are beyond amazing. They treat you like family and make sure you have all the resources for the tool to work for you. I just had my surgery on 09/18/2020 starting at 305lbs I’m now 224lbs 75lbs down. Best decision ever! Dr A and his team were amazing! The facility was emaculent! 1 month post op I had a question and was called by Dr A personally, the same night to give me guidance! Highly recommended!!

I have never in my life met a doctor who is as impressive as Dr. Alvarez. He is extremely personable, caring, knowledgeable beyond comprehension and will never leave you hanging or wondering. He follows up with your every question or concern. Honestly, I wish we could clone him and send his protege all over the world! In saying all of this....he is also humble. Nothing arrogant about this doctor and he will never make you feel that he is unapproachable! I have told him that because of his extraordinary gifts, he must be able to attribute a lot of it to his raising (parents) and to God.

I loved my experience with dr. A, He was so sweet, there were 3 of us going in for the surgery and they had us picked up at the hotel in San Antonio Texas, and he brought us over the boarder to the Endobariatric hospital, which by the way was beautiful, the coordinator Rosie spoke to us and had someone get us settled in our rooms, oh there’s a hotel in the hospital, unbelievable, anyway after we were settled a nurse came with a special menu so we could eat, it was amazing, because I hadn’t eaten solid food in 3 weeks, then Dr. A came that evening ( that’s when we all met officially)anyway he sat and explained the procedure to us and answered all questions we had, then we all went to our rooms to rest, every person there from dr. A to the nurses and even people that clean the hospital were all so attentive to our needs, hands down, best hospital experience ever, and I’m 60 years old, I’ve been in hospitals many times over the years. Dr.A did our surgery and had us all walking within an hour after surgery, I have been talking about my experience and recommending him to all the people on my Facebook support group, I even made a believer out of my home doctor, when I left she was telling me how much she disapproved of my going there and I said well I’m going anyway, then when I got back and was down 25 pounds and she took me off all of my meds and I took 3 different meds for diabetes plus 2 different shots too, plus cholesterol, hypertension, and a few other things, anyway I am over the moon that I can walk more than a block without having to stop a couple times too, I even made it almost to the top of a mountain trail and back down in Colorado, my doctor was so happy with my visit that she wanted his information for other patients that can’t afford it out here in Florida but I had cards and happily gave her one, anyway that’s it, I loved my experience and I recommend Dr. A to all I speak to on Facebook support group, there’s a lot of people out there that are afraid of that first step and I want to help with my voice, so I do almost every day ????

My sister and I had the VSG together 5 weeks ago today. I have since lost 17.7 lbs and I continue to go down.. I would recommend Dr A to anyone who is considering the procedure .
