When i first met Dr. Goodman, I thought that he was a very nice man. He answered all my questions in detail and made me feel comfortable about the decision i was going to make. In my personal opinion I feel that Dr. Goodman is an angel sent from above and he knows his job very well. He is extremely concerened and is always available for his patients. He is available over the phone or via email. He does respond to all his emails. He emphasizes after care very much. He is the type of doctor that is straight forward with you and tells you how it is. He advised me of all the pro's and con's of the surgery and was very attentive to my needs and concerns. I would rate Dr. Goodman a 10+. He is a very busy man but there is something to be said about a man who has over 800 patients and knows all of them by first name. He even remembers my husbands name, that impressed me. He is god sent. The only negative thing is can say about my surgeon is that i think he needs more help in the office. His staff could be alittle more organized.

I met Dr. Goodman on 9/16/99, I have just been scheduled for surgery on 10/15/99. He is the best doctor I could have chosen. He was sensitive, answered all my questions, and more importantly he LISTENED. His entire staff is so caring and understanding that it literally made my eyes water.
Dr. Goodman shows all his patients a Bariatric Film before consultation and then he explains the procedure at lengh. He is compassionate, and passionater about what he does. His excitement is catchy! He is highly recommended to anyone considering surgery. Please check out his website.
Personal Note to Dr. Goodman:
Thank You for saving my life and giving me back the chance to live as a healthy young woman should- free from disease and humiliation.

I HONESTLY THINK THAT I MADE THE BEST CHOICE WITH THIS DOCTOR. HE HAS A SMALL STAFF. BUT THEY KNOW THEIR STUFF. RHONDA IS VERY INFORMATIVE AND YESENIA IS SO KIND AND HELPFUL. BUT SINCE THEY ARE ONLY TWO PEOPLE, IT'S HARD TO GET THEM ON THE PHONE. I DID MY RESEARCH TO FIND THIS DOCTOR AND I THINK HE'S THE BEST. THE ONE THING I LOVE ABOUT HIM IS THAT HE IS VERY ACCESSABLE. IF YOU EMAIL HIM, HE RESPONDS IN A DAY. THAT IS NOT OFTEN SEEN IN DOCTORS. I'M CONFIDENT ABOUT THE CHOICE I MADE BECAUSE OF HIM. I FEEL SAFE IN HIS HANDS AND THAT'S IMPORTANT.

my first impression was i waited too long to see him. but i realized that he is very thorough and explain everything in grat detail. he will answer all of your questions. his office staff are very nice especially rhonda. new patients should take the day off of work and ask any and all questions. also be prepared to see the nutritionist. she does not accept insurance. she will give you a bill to submit to your insurance company. all patients have to take two support classes before surgery. after surgery you have to see the nutrtionist. also attend aftercare classes. he will tell you all the risks and/or complications of the surgery. he will remove the gallbladder if it has stones. i think he is a good doctor.

Dr. Goodman is a wonderful man, he takes time to explain everything to you, even if you have a million questions. I had thought about this surgery for years and have finally found a Doctor who understands everything I was talking about, and takes the time to help you understand everything that is needed before and after the surgery. Many have so many nice things to say about him and I am joining them in saying that he treats you like a person and understands that we are not looking for a quick fix, we are looking to save our lives. He understands us and what it takes to be healthy. I understand that nothing will be easy with this surgery, I know that this will be a life altering thing and I'm now ready to take the steps needed to change my life for the better.

my first impression of DR. GOODMAN is that he's a really busy man.He met with me and my husband.on my 6hr appointment on 10/30/03.he explained the whole procedure i was really nervous since 8/03 when they gave me the appointment to see him in october.when i saw and spoke to DR GOODMAN.I felt like i understood all he had to say. so he made me feel like this is what i want to do. and then and there was when i decided i want to get this surgery done.DR GOODMAN staff is really friendly.

MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DOCTOR GOODMAN'S OFFICE WAS NOT THAT GREAT AT FIRST ONLY BECAUSE I SAT IN HIS OFFICE FOR SIX HOURS, UNTIL I ACTUALLY SAW HIM, HOWEVER WHEN I DID FINALLY GET TO SIT WITH HIM HE SEEMED SOOOOOOOOOOO VERY BUSY I KINDA FELT BAD FOR ALL THE NAMES I WAS CALLING HIM IN MY HEAD. NEVERTHELESS HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE HE MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE AND HE RELAYED ALL THE RISKS INVOLED. (EVERY STORY HAS A BUT) WHEN I WENT TO MY FIRST SUPPORT GROUP I SHOWED UP ONLY TO FIND THAT THE MEETING THAT HE SCHEDULED ME FOR WAS NOT ONLY CANCELLED BUT HE ALSO WAS MOVING TO A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL(a better hospital). I KIND OF FELT A LITTLE PUT OFF BY THAT NOT THAT HE WAS MOVING BUT THAT HIS OFFICE DID NOT INFORM HIS PATIENTS, EVEN NOW A LOT OF HIS PATIENTS STILL ARE CONFUSED AS TO HIS WHERE ABOUTS. I AM VERY PERSISTANT AND I FOUND HIM AND CHOSE TO FOLLOW HIM TO HIS NEW OFFICE, BUT IT STILL WAS A LITTLE BOTHERSOME. I THINK HES IS A WONDERFUL DOCTOR THOUGH AND I WOULD RECCOMMEND HIM TO ANY ONE JUST AS LONG AS THEY HAVE PATIENCE...=)

My first impression was good. He is very nice and he helps you understand everything. I didn't like having to sit in the office for over an hour waiting for him, but when you do that many surgeries and you have patient after patient waiting to see you it will take a while. Over all it was nice, good atmosphere, nice staff, everyone there was nice.

10/2003: My revision surgery is with Dr. Goodman, he is AWESOME. He answers all of my phone calls and emails immediately. I saw him on the Discovery Health channel and was very impressed by him. Once I met him, I was even more so. His nurse Mary is so sweet, she's also a post-op patient.
1/7/2000: Met with Dr. Benotti today. I'm very pleased with all the details of his after care program. He's scheduled various tests for next week and my new surgery date is 1/21/2000. Due to being borderline anemic my surgery date has been changed to 2/1/2000.
