Dr. Baranov and his staff at Saratoga Bariatric Surgery and weight-loss program are an amazing group of people and they are dedicated to helping people with their weight loss. Dr. Bavanov is a great surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone looking for help with their weight loss. The program that they have set up is easy to fallow and they guide you through every step from start to finish. I had my surgery on April 2, 2014 and I'm doing very well with my health and my weight loss, I have lost 30lbs since I started my journey with Dr. Bavanov and I can't thank him enough for what he has done for me and my family and kids I have a life now and I feel amazing. So if you are in the area and are looking in to weight loss surgery I highly recommend Dr. Dmitri V. Bavanov in Saratoga Springs New York.

Dr Baranov and his staff are amazing! I went into to my surgery well informed and confident I was in good hands. The surgery was pain free (just felt like I had done too many sit ups). I have not had ANY problems and my surgery date was 04/16/2014.

Dr. Baranov is very informative. He explained all of my options and what he thought would work best for me. On October 23, 2013 I had gastric bypass surgery. He told me the risks of having the surgery and what to expect after. When I was discharged from the hospital, he called me that weekend at home to make sure I was doing well. Not only does he genuinely care about his patients, but he has a lot of experience. I highly recommend Dr. Baranov to anyone who is considering bariatric surgery.

I had the RNY done with Dr. Baranov 11/06/2013, and I would highly recommend Dr. Baranov, as well as every last person who works with that program. Dr. Baranov is an amazingly talented doctor, who takes the time with every patient to answer any and all questions and provides viable alternatives to anything that might be steering you in the wrong direction. You can't help but to know he takes pride in his practice and wants you to have all the tools you need to succeed. Personal attention from Dr. Baranov and his staff are guaranteed to be a big part of what sets their program apart. No joke, from the nutritionist, to the nurses at the office and hospital (post-op), EVERY LAST person is phenomenal at what they do, and the program is so well managed that you are set up for 100% success for your journey, no matter where the road takes you. I could not be happier with my progress, and my experience so far with the Saratoga Bariatric Center has been top-notch!

Dr. Baranov and his team are amazing! Dr. B was very thorough in describing the types of Gastric Bypass procedures at his seminar and answering any questions. His team made me feel very comfortable and they were very helpful in scheduling appointments. My surgery went well and I am now 2 months post op. Dr. Baranov's and his team are still involved and stay updated on my progress through appointments and blood work. Thanks to Dr. B and his team, I feel very informed on the decisions I made and I am so happy I chose the Saratoga Bariatric Surgery team!

I recently had gastric sleeve surgery by Doctor Baranov. I have had health related issues over the last few years due to my weight and I never felt so confident with my health care providers as I did with Dr. Baranov and his excellent staff. My surgery was performed at Saratoga hospital the nurses who cared for me were wonderful, when talking with them everyone spoke so highly of Dr. Baranov they agreed his commitment to his patients was fantastic. In this day and age it is very unique when your physician stops in to see you 3 or 4 times a day while you are recovering in the hospital. Personal phone calls from your doctor upon your release shows he truly cares about you and your health. Dr Baranov is an excellent physician and an individual who is very committed to his patients.

Dr Baranov and his staff have given me my life back. I'm two months post op from the RNY procedure, and I'm off all 8 daily medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol. My blood sugar levels have hovered right around 100, couldn't ask for anything better. Currently I've lost 64 pounds since my first visit during the Fall of 2013. Dr Baranov and his staff provided great detail on what to expect during every stage of the procedure. Every member of his staff make you feel like family, and each are so concerned with everyone's progress. I'd recommend Dr Baranov and his staff to anyone who is considering the RNY procedure in the greater Saratoga Springs area!

Had RNY on 2/10/14. Everything went perfectly. Very minimal pain. Only had 1 Percocet the first night (more to sleep than for pain). Spent 1 night in hospital. Highly recommend Dr. Baranov.
Office staff very professional and efficient

I was very impressed with Dr. Baranov from the first time that I met him at his orientation, I then met with him a few more times before my surgery and was still very impressed with his knowledge and care for you as a patient. His staff is also just as caring and helpful threw the entire process and I never felt like I was going threw this alone. They also have many support groups that you can talk to with people that have gone or are going threw this process also. Dr. Baranov is very detailed in what he wants and expects from you both before and after, he has taken the time to write out step by step instructions for your aftercare as that is very important to your health and weight loss. When I was in the hospital he checked on me several times a day and again went over what I needed to do to when I got home. I really don't have any complaints about him, if you smoke he wont take you on as a patient, for some this could be a negative thing. He knows what you need to do and so he emphasizes those things, he may come across as stern but he wants to make sure that you know what you are getting yourself into, it is a long and at times hard process but it is so worth it! I would definitely go and talk to him and see if he is right for you, I did and I am so glad that I did!
