I have been overweight most of my life. I have an auto immune disease called scleroderma and it was taking over my life. All my specialist were telling me to lose weight and I was trying to but eating healthier and exercising wasn't enough. I was always exhausted and the weight would go up and down but I wasn't gaining any ground. I had always been against weight loss surgery and to be honest I felt it was a cop out. One of my Dr.s suggested the lap band. The only reason I even listened was because it was removable. I ended up going to Dr. Baranov's free seminars and let me tell you... I learned more in those two hours about weight loss than I had in my entire life of online researching and fad diets.

Due to my disease I ended up getting the RNY done. I am almost 9 months out and I've already lost 105 lbs and am only 15 lbs away from my persona goal (I already reached the Dr.s goal). But what's even better than the way I look, is the way I feel! My blood pressure is down, my sleep apnea is gone, my blood sugar is normal, my acid reflux is gone, the swelling in my hands and feet is gone....the list goes on and on. I feel 20 years younger. I don't ever remember feeling this good! I used to think I would be dead in 10 years or less and now I know I will live at least 20+ more years thanks to Dr. Baranov! In March of this year I met with an endocronlogist who told me that due to my excessive weight I was bound to have some type of stroke and/or heart attack. I looked into local Bariatric surgerons in my area when I came across Dr. Baranov's office. I made sure that I read the reviews first before making this life changing decision. I attended one of Dr. Baranov's seminars that went over what to expect when going through the bariatric surgery. I had my inital consult on April 10th 2015, being my first time in the office I was nervous and did not know what to expect, as soon as I walked in the staff at Dr. Baranov's office calmed me down. I have never been to a doctor's office where they treat you like family and not just another patient. On my initial consult I met with Dr. Baranov who firmly explained to me what to do and expect, I wasnt just another patient to him. I was a person who was overweight, unhealthy and unhappy with my life. He told me that this is a journey that he has taken numerous times with numerous patients and that we were going to walk this journey together and that I will succeed. On May 13th 2015 I had my surgery at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs NY, before my surgery Dr. Baranov and his team came to my bed side and talked to me and my husband to make sure that WE both understood the changes that I would be going through. Before he left he told my husband not to worry that I was in good hands and that he would not let anything happen to me. I came out of my surgery like a champ. While I was in the hospital Dr. Baranov gave my nurses strict orders that I was suppose to follow. I followed the instructions and was able to go home the next day. I want to personally thank Dr. Baranov and his ENTIRE staff for giving me back precious years of my life back. As I write this review I thank god for Dr. Baranov and the staff at the Saratoga Bariatric Center for Weight loss and Surgery as I have never been happier with my life and my new lifestyle

Almost a year ago I thought about having gastric bypass surgery. I stopped working outside the home 12 years ago to take care of family and found it too easy to raid the refrigerator when I was bored. I gained almost 10 pounds a year for those last 12 years. Anyway, I chickened out. My husband had the surgery by a different doctor and lost 130 pounds and looks and feels wonderful. I did some research on the surgeons in my area and decided on Dr. Baranov. These previous reviews fit my experience with Dr. Baranov and his wonderful staff to a tee. From day one, I was treated with kindness and respect. There was no judging. Dr. "B" and his staff educated me on the process I would go through and what to expect after surgery. The staff answered all questions and were overwhelmingly accommodating. After the surgery, I was surprised at the lack of pain from the incisions. The care at Saratoga Hospital was exceptional. Every single nurse and aide responsible for me took such good care of me. They were kind with easy smiles. The hospital was quiet and the rooms private and extremely nice. Dr. Baranov calls you at home to check up on you and follows you for life to make sure you're doing well. Extraordinary and exceptional all the way around.

Dr. Baranov and his staff are beyond AMAZING! From the very start they were friendly and personable. The whole team is on top of everything from confirming apts, asking questions and telling you what to expect. I am never afraid to call or ask a question because they are there waiting to help. The program itself is very well layed out and easy to follow. Dr. Baranov makes sure you are able to follow the program and be the healthiest person you can be during your journey. He is JUST FABULOUS!!!!!

Dr. Baranov is amazing! This was my first surgery and I was very nervous but Dr. Baranov has a wonderful bedside manner which really put me at ease. It is very apparent he always puts his patients first. He not only tells you what to do but takes the time to inform you why which was greatly appreciated. Having a firm understanding of why you need to do things he asks allows you to understand and take every request seriously. He is the prefect balance of stern yet compassionate in the way he treats his patients. I also enjoyed the pictures he took during the surgery and printed for me. It was really neat to see what exactly it looked like. I highly recommend him not only because of his bedside manner but also because of his skill level. My incisions were tiny and my pain was very minimal. I went home after one day and had no need for any pain medicine. He even called me over the weekend to check up. The practice staff is also wonderful. They make the process easy to navigate through and are very considerate of your time. Overall I am so happy for a second chance and cannot thank the whole practice enough.

I recently had gastric sleeve surgery preformed at Saratoga Hospital by Dr Dmitri Baranov. My experience with Dr Dmitri Baranov and his practice have been wonderful. The overall friendliness and professionalism of the practice is top notch. For anyone in the local area considering weight loss surgery look no further. I cannot say enough positive things about my entire experience with Dr. Baranov - from my initial call to his office, attendance at one of his informational seminars, appointments with him and his staff, and finally my surgery at Saratoga Hospital. His surgical team and nursing staff are outstanding. Not only did I have a great conversation with him before my surgery, but he was there when I woke up, he visited me that evening and the next morning, and before I left the hospital the following evening. His call to my home to follow-up with me was through, comforting and positive. I would recommend his office and Saratoga Hospital to anyone considering this surgery!

Dr. Baranov and his team have given me the tools to be successful in losing weight. He and his team were supportive, encouraging, professional, andcourteous. My overall impression and experience was most pleasant. They made it easy for me to stay on track. Always a phone call away and very accompanying with appointments. Staff at Saratoga hospital were very nice as well, even called me the day after I was released to check on me, as did Dr. Baranov himself, calling me at home on a Saturday afternoon to make sure I was doing well.
