I am currently a patient of Dr Baranov and had the Sleeve Gastrectomy on 09/21/20. It has been a week since the surgery and I have nothing but excellent things to say about the doctor, my experience, and the staff that work with him. They are very attentive and make you feel like they are very understanding of how the process works. Dr Baranov wants you to succeed and checks in on you, I find this very helpful and important. My surgery at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga NY went smoothly and I have nothing but great things to say about the staff there. A week later I am not in any pain from the surgery, apparently 15 pounds lighter already (checked my weight as my sibling was curious), and on my week one of fluids. They show you how important it is to no matter what get your water in each day and to walk the gas pains out. 100% recommend them and I have already told my friends and family that he is my recommendation.

I recently had Gastric Sleeve surgery performed by Dr. Baranov at Saratoga Hospital. From my initial consult with Dr. Baranov to the surgery itself, I was completely at ease. He explained the procedure thoroughly, listened to and answered all my questions, and personally telephoned to check on me the Sunday after my surgery. His staff is amazing as well. From the front desk, to the nurses, physician assistants and dieticians, they all work as a team to make you comfortable about your choice to better your life! Doctor Baranov is very professional yet personable at the same time. He has supported me every step of the way and reassured me when I needed it. He makes sure that you’re reaching your goals. He has wonderful staff that are very supportive to.. He called himself to make sure I was recovering well. It has now been 5 days since I have received my surgery. I am doing fantastic. I have lost 13 pounds, Surgical areas are healing very well, and the pain is barely noticeable. He is definitely the best of the best! I recommend him to anyone who is looking for help. He definitely supports you every step of the way.

I am only 4 days out of gastric bypass surgery, but I have been well cared for by Dr. Baranov and his staff since February (4 months!). I feel I was totally prepared for this surgery, first going to listen to Dr. Baranov's seminar, where he made it very easy to understand this entire procedure. Visits and phone calls all lead up to your well being, understanding and commitment. I feel Dr. Baranov cares for his patients as he would his own family. Dr. Baranov is a artist when it comes to bariatric surgery. There are not enough words to describe how pleased i was with him and his practice. Simply said, he's the best. He laid out a plan for me, educated me on the ins and outs of the procedure from start to finish, and his follow up after surgery was top notch. Deciding to choose the path of any bariatric surgery is a big decision, and the process can be overwhelming, emotional and challenging. It is so important to do your research and educate yourself. Dr. Baranov came HIGHLY recommended by SEVERAL people and I started to realize there was a common theme to everything I had heard about him and the practice at Saratoga Hospital--professionalism, caring, experience. I think it's important to trust any provider you choose. It is a big decision and one you should feel as though people are working for and with you. After Dr. Baranov's informational seminar I felt so confident and empowered in the choices I wanted to make. I had every question answered, everything explained with honest and real information from someone who made everything make sense. Dr. Baranov may or may not have had the goal to improve, change and impact so many people's lives and heath but go to one support group meeting (yes, they are open to anyone interested, pre or post-op) and there will be a ballroom full of people who all have stories about how amazing this man is. His professionalism and his knowledge are just a few of many reasons why I am so glad I chose him for my surgery. There is a personal level of care you will receive from him that you just don't get from other providers. From the phone call post surgery to see how you are doing, to providing resources and following up personally that it had been taken care of. Dr. Baranov and his team are amazing. They take the time that's necessary to prepare you for your journey. It started for me with an informational seminar then came the initial visit with Dr. Baranov, several visits with amazing nutritionists, psychologist and personal trainers. From beginning to end they scheduled each step for me, gave clear instructions and support when I was unsure of something. Dr. Baranov even called me on a Sunday after my surgery to make sure I was doing well and adjusting. The hospital staff was amazing too. You just can't go wrong with this great team of people helping you.
