6 Months Post Surgery

4/21/09 - Well I'm 6 month's post surgery and quite proud of myself. I will not say it's been an easy road but it hasn't been a real hard road either. I'm 84 lbs lighter than when I started this journey on October 20, 2008. With me being much older (71) than most of you younger ones out there my metabolism works much slower than yours thus a much slower weight loss. However, now I have my strength back. I joined the gym 2 months ago and I recently had cortisone shots in both my arthritic knees so I'm exercising more and hopefully I will continue to have significant weight loss. I'm still 100+ lbs away from my goal weight so wish me luck please.

I'm counting down in 4 more days my real journey will start! I'm having RNY on Monday and it seem like Monday will never get here. Why won't it get here? Why? Why?
