I have been fat forever.
I have researched gastric bypass surgery for over 5 years. There never was really a turning point that made me decide to do this. It just took some time and setting my mind to it. I do know that I have had some things happen to really sway me into having this done. One thing that made a huge impact, was about a year ago I went
to the fair with my daughter. She was around 13. She wanted me to get on a ride with her. I kept telling her I thought I was too fat, but this really huge guy in front of me got on no problems. Sooooo I decided to go ahead and get on. Wellllllllll.............they went to click the bar in and it wouldnt click, so 2 guys came over to push it down and no click............so they had to ask me to get off. Needless to say I was so embarrassed.
But I played it off and laughed about it, but deep down it really stuck in my head. So I decided right then I was not putting this off any longer and so the fair has rolled around again. I went and took my niece and nephew, who are 3 and 4. I stayed around the kiddie rides and all I kept thinking was,
"Next year", "Next year", I will be skinny and can fit on the rides.
I have had alot of sickness, and I know, by having this surgery I will get better. I am so glad that God has helped me get this far
and is going to continue to help me get farther.
