I have not blogged on this website in a very long time. I had plateaued for about a year and was mad at myself and just could not figure out what on earth the problem was.

Well, Just in 2012 I have gotten under my personal goal weight and managed to hit the goal weight my doctor had for me that I thought was unattainable!

My goal weight was 180 pounds in January of this year I had gained and was at 212lbs and had plateaued there for over a year, Today I weigh 171.5 pounds!! I did not do anything drastic, but the surgeon was right from the beginning he told me that I would lose alot of weight the first year then I would stop, gain some, stop, then I would start losing again.

I know by the Grace of God that I was able to have Gastric Bypass surgery. So many people are unable to have this surgery who need it and would benefit from it.

God is good ALL THE TIME!!

I am down 100 pounds today!!! Whooooooo Whoooooooo!!!! I am so excited! I looked at an old picture of me from 6 months and 2 weeks ago, and I looked so swollen!! I am soooooooooog glad I took the steps to have this surgery!!

Well all, I am six months out now, and doing better than I could have ever imagined!! As of Monday, I am down 94 pounds!!!!! I am feeling great, and I have gone back to school, a feat in itself!! My diabetes has been gone since surgery, hypertension is gone since about 2 months out, and sleep apnea has been gone since about 3 months out!! I am a new person. So much energy, and I do not feel so bad about myself!! I do not mind a tight shirt, or sleeveless!! :) My relationship with my husband has not suffered, it has grown!! I am very happy, and totally satisfied!! Dr. Blaney changed my life for the better, and there is nothing big enough I could do or give him to show him how much I appreciate what he has done for my life!!

Today I went throughsome of my clothes from about 5 years ago, and I am wearing a size 18 pants today!!!! OMGosh!!!!!! I have not worn a size 18 in years!! I started as a size 24. I tried them on this morning thinking that there is no way they would fit yet.... but they do, and they are comfortable!!! Now, not all of my old size 18's fit....but these do!!!!! And I am happy!!!

Well, It is about 5 weeks out and I am feeling pretty good. I am still unable to eat very much at all, but that is alright that is what got me into trouble in the first place. On May 28th, just 3 weeks out, I had to have some fluids because I was dehydrated. I have not been getting enough fluids into my system. It seemed so hard to drink! I found out that I had strep throat, and that is what was bringing me down. I am glad that is over! I am now getting alot of my energy back, and I can even go home from work in the evenings and do housework instead of laying out on the couch until bed time. That is an accomplishment in itself!! I was thinking even a few weeks out of surgery...WHAT WS I THINKING???!!! But now I am glad that I went through the process and am on the other side. I am looking forward to this time next year, so that I can see how much different I look and feel!! OH!!! an off scale victory... I can bend over and dry my toes off after a shower!!!!!! Awesome!!!!!!

Well, it has been a month now and I have lost 34 pounds!!!! WOW!! I am excited for the future, I can't wait until next year.... how much will I lose by then?? I hope all of the excess!! I had a hard week last week , I ended up as an outpatient in the hospital for a bolus of fluids, and then I started vomiting. Friday I had a sore throat that still has not gone away, and my primary said I have strep. So now I am starting on antibiotics..... Hope that will make this crappy feeling go away. eating hurts and drinking hurts. Can't wait for this darn sore throat to go away!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would still do this again if I needed to!! My friend had surgery last week and she is home doing good. I hope that she will do better than me in the first month.

Feeling alot better than I was earlier. I had my first B-12 shot on Monday,and I started taking my Multivitamins and calcium. So today is the first day that I actually feel good enough to keep moving. I am down 23 pounds total from the start!! WOW in 2 weeks I can't believe it!! I am getting most of my protien in, and some day I can even get in more than I need, which is a good thing. I hope that I will not have a problem with loosing my hair.... that worries me, but I will cross that bridge when it comes to me.

I am draggin so bad today!! I am not sure if it is because I have pushed myself to hard working this week, but darn I could barely get out of bed this morning!! I started feeling hungery last night for the first time since surgery. I want food!! I am tired of liquids!! They go right through me!! AHHHHHHH!!!!! I feel as though I could sleep all day and waste away in the bed..... I would not mind because i am so tired!!

Well, I made it through surgery!! It has been 1 week and 1 day since I went under the knife and I am already back to work!! The surgery went great. According to the surgeon, it was very cut and dry so it took him less time than usual. I was in the hospital for 4 days, the third day was the worst. I started having bloody stools, and nausea and dizziness. After that day everything was back to normal, and I have felt better and better everyday.
The morning of my surgery my weight on my home scale was 296,and today it is 287. I have nearly lost 10 lbs!!! I am so excited. I hope that it will continue, and my weight will be off by the end of this year. I can't take any more failures, so I hope this will work for me.

I can't believe it!! My surgery has been approved, and scheduled for May 5th at 10:30am. I am in shock!! I thought it would take so much longer for everything to come together. I paryed and prayed that if God wanted me to go for it with the surgery, to approve it. If I were denied, I would forget it. Well, It was approved in 1 day!! I guess he really wants it done!! I am excited to meet the new me very soon.
