PLEASE, PLEASE, HELP!!!!

Apr 10, 2007

About  five months ago I was told by the secretary at the weight loss center that my insurance company, Aetna(open access) would cover my wls, with a six months supervised diet by a physician. As of December 2006, I started seeing a dietician and have been going to the physician faithfully.  I so happen to call the secretary last week to ask a question and was told, one of the other office personel called Aetna for an update and was told that wls was excluded from my plan, even with a letter from my physician and 6 months supervised weight loss plan.  I was and still is very disappointed, I could just taste being on the losing side very soon.  Now, my dreams have been shot.  Have anyone on the boards expereinced this problem and do you think I should continue to go to my physician for the six months and send everything in, anyway?  Also, what should my doctor write in his letter of pre-certification, I would like to have everything just right the first time I send the letter and six month report.  Thanks
