Surgury went well and I have been heeling well.  I have lost at least 30 lbs. so far.  I get my first fill on Nov. 18th and I am so ready for some restriction, I have been in "bandster hell".  I have been excercising and learning the new life style.  Will post again, sometime.

I will be having my surgery on 9/29/08 at 7:00 AM @ Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton, TX

Well I met my surgeon today, I did not know what to think of him. 
Seemed like he was trying to talk me out of having surgery??  Maybe I read him wrong, my mom was there she did not get that idea. 
His office staff was great.  Very nice and helpful, so far.  The girl that submits the insurance info was not there today but I need to call her back.  The did say when I am approved by the insurance the surgery will be no cost to me, nice. 
I am so excited but nervous, anxious, you name it.
There will be pre-op diet, Opti-fast, will cost $170 for 2 weeks.
Looking for my insurance approval next.

I was referred to Dr. Frank Veninga by a distant cousin that has had the Lap-band procedure.  I contacted his office via website and they e-mailed me the new patient info to fill out and fax back.  As soon as they got my paperwork that I faxed, they called me back and made my initial appointment to meet the Dr. 
So long story short, I have a appointment for 4/24/08 and that is a step in the right direction. 
I went ahead and faxed requests to my past Dr.'s to send my medical history.  
They said I could go ahead and schedule my consult with the nutritionist & psychologist to get cleared for surgury.  Not sure that I should do that just yet, maybe make the appointment but for a date after my 1st visit with Dr. Veninga??  Any suggestions??  Maybe I feel like I am jenksing myself when I have not been approved for the surgury by the insurance co. just yet.  My employer includes this procedure on my Aetna plan, who knows what they will say. 
Will let ya'll (or anybody who cares) know what happens after my appointment.
