I will be having surgery June 22nd!  I am soooo happy!  I went shopping over the weekend with a friend.  She had the surgery two years ago.  We were shopping at the thrift stores for things for me to wear for the beginning weightloss stage.  It's a good thing I like thrift stores.  I bought different sizes.  I have also taken time to get rid of some of my big clothes.  They were items I haven't worn in the past year or two.  That felt good, I had to make room for my "new" clothes.

I just started my liquid fast and I'm on day two.  I don't have any energy right now, but I'm making it.  I think about potato chips all the time (my favorite).  Not having pop is helping my stomach, I'm not feeling bloated.  Well, I'll write again soon, just wanted to express a few things.

I had my first appointment with the Internist on Thursday, March 22nd.  Things went well.  Dr. White was suprised I received approval from the insurance company because I just completed the weight management program on Nov. 1, 2006.  Things are looking good so far...

Today I went to see the Behaviorist.  He was so cool.  It was real easy talking to him.  He was glad to hear that I have a strong spiritual awareness and that I have a close relationship with my God.  Hallelijah!  Although this is not a christian based program, I am told by people that went through this center for surgery, that their are a lot of christians working in this facility.  Hallelujah!  My next appointment with the Behaviorist is April 10th.  I also see the surgeon the same day.

I received my approval letter, for the evaluation, on Saturday,March 17th.  I am excited, but a little nervous.  Last year I went through the weight management program at mmpc.  It's a 12 week fast.  I did ok on the fast but I did not get the results I thought I would get.  I think I started too many things at the same time and those things took too much of my focus (a new position at work, going to school and church duties)!  I was exhausted!  Now that I'm having the surgery, I won't do anything else but pray and concentrate on making this a successful journey.  Now I'm waiting for my appointment...I'll keep you all posted.
