Wow, I am so happy that I had the surgery. It has almost been 4 months. I haven't lost as much as I had hoped but
I feel so good. It has been so nice to shop in regular size clothes. I have gone from a 2x top to a size large. My pants are a size 8 even though I still need the elastic waist at this time. I am only down about 43lbs but feel so good.
Sometimes I think I just plain eat too much and need to work on that one.
I don't regret this for a minute.

Things are going well. I am so thankful for this surgery. I feel better than I have in years. The diabetes is gone and life is good.
The weight loss has been a bit slower than I would like. Since surgery, I am down 35lbs according to the dr scales. I have about 40 more to go.
I thank God for this wonderful opportunity.
 

Well I am 2 months out and down 31lbs since surgery and a total of 41 lbs over all. I feel great. I hit a huge road block and didn't lose any weight for about 3 or 4 weeks. I am starting to lose again.
I am so glad I had this surgery. I haven't had any signs of the diabetes and I have so much more energy. I still have about 40 or 50 lbs to go but I very happy with were I am so far.

Well it has been 3 weeks today since my surgery. I feel awesome. No pain and gaining more and more energy. I am so glad that I had taken 4 weeks off work. I will be ready to go back next week. I am now at 180 lbs. I can't believe it. Just day's before my surgery I was 205.
It is so fun to get out of those 2x tops and actually fit into some XL. I have one more week of liquids and then will be able to eat. This has been tough as I actually have been hungry. My way of coping with the whole not eating for the past 2 weeks has been cooking. I have cooked up a storm and just invited friends and family over to eat. For most people this would not be therapy, however, I am a bit strange.
I actually ask my family every day, what sounds good. Today my son wanted chocolate chip/peanut butter cookies. I am just having a good time being able to fix for them and be home and feel good. I have no signs of diabetes. I feel amazingly better.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to have this surgery and for my insurances to cover it. I really believe this will just what I need to live a healthy life.

Wow, I can't believe what a difference a few weeks makes. I am feeling so good. I still can't wait to eat, but overall feeling good. I am down to 183 and excited about that. My clothes are all baggy and I actually wore a size xl the other day.
I will be off work one more week. I think it will be good to have this next week to really get things done and prepare for going back to work full time.
I am so glad I had this surgery.
There are so many that have already gone before me that have so inspired and encouraged me. Thanks so much!

Wow, hard to believe that 12 days ago I had the surgery. I am feeling so good. I look forward to eating real food in another couple weeks. I am now down to 188 and the lbs just keep coming off.
It is nice to feel good.

Today I had my week follow up. It went good. The dr said I was doing great. I feel really good. A bit tired, little side soreness, but overall good.
I weighed in today at 193.
I have had a few burst of energy these few past days, cooking up a storm. Can't eat it, but my family has been able to enjoy a good meal or too.
I am walking a bit outside now. Hoping to increase to about a mile each day. I am finding it tough to get all the protein in, but I am trying.
Looking forward to increased loosing!

Wow, was I not ready for that. I guess I just thought there would be some pain but nothing like I had. It really was like a Cesarean but I hadn't had one of those for 20 years. I still feel like crap. I am nauseated and just feel bad. I came home yesterday and it was nice to sleep in my own bed.
I am sure down the road I will not regret this, I will just have to leave that for a later blog. I called the dr and will be getting some nausea med today. I hope that helps.
I find I am not hungry at all. I really don't want to drink or do anything, but I know that isn't the best for me. I have made this commitment and will stick it out. I have found that the Kellogg's protein drinks with my water help, along with sugar free pudding with protein whey put in it, helps me get my protein.
People have been so kind, I have gotten lots of flowers and cards. I truly feel blessed.
Well, I am going to go back to bed. I hope I am more cheery in a day or two. I actually gained weight in the hospital. My coming home weight was 208.

Well today is the big day. I am really excited. I made it through the cleansing yesterday and lost the few lbs I had gained having all those "Last Suppers"  
My neice came by and wished me well last night. It sure mean't alot. She was a breath of fresh air!
I have to be there in 30 minutes and my surgery will be at 7:30. I can't believe how wonderful this site has been. The support is wonderful and I so appreciate everyone that contributes. It is nice to have an idea of what to expect.
Okay Loser's bench...........make way, cause here I come!

I feel like I have so much to do before surgery. It feels like right before your are going to have a baby and you know your life will never be the same. This is kind of how I feel. I guess I have had a few too many "last suppers". I am up a few llbs. Today I have been cleaning house and making sure everythng is caught up........why, I am not sure. I will be off for 4 weeks. Hummmm?
I have been on a clothes buying kick. Yikes.........so many cute clothes and I suppose it is just messing with my mind as this hasn't been something I have done for the past 20 years. I am so excited to not just buy shoes or purses.........actually, for the past 2 years the only shoes I have bought are the croc like ones, with my diabetes, these feel the best. I can't wait to get RID of them.
Well just 3 more days, I plan on enjoying them up until the wicked potion that you swallow to cleanse.........YIKES! I figure, If and that is a big IF I can drink that crap, anything is possible.
I am so proud of you guys that have gone before me. I so appreicate you. Thanks again!
I had a coworker take some before pictures........what was I thinking....they are, well let's just say, I haven't posted them yet. Could be a while.
