Hi T!
Good luck with getting your testing done!
I too have begun my prepos. On January 18th I got my chest xray, cardiolyte stress test, ekg, and my pulmonary function & ABG all done. I was lucky enough to have the cardiolyte stress test and the pulmonary function & ABG test scheduled for the same day and where the chest x-ray and the ekg can be done when ever I chose, I just decided while I was at the hospital I'd get everything done that day. January 19th I had my nutritional eval with Leah Spellman and I have to say she is absolutely wonderful! She in no way made me feel like I was being evaluated in any way. It was a very laid back conversation. She is a very sweet person and I honestly think I may continue to keep in touch with her for any questions I may have after surgery. I have my esophageal manometry scheduled for this Friday the 27th. I also have my sleep study all set up for Feb 7th at 4pm. Fortunately I do not have to have the CCK HIDA scan, ultrasound/gallbladder, the echo cardiogram, or the upper g.i. due to the fact that I’ve already had my gallbladder out and I had an upper G.I. done in December for something else so I can just have them results faxed over. My age also omits me from the echo cardiogram. I had my appointment set up for my psych eval but at that time my co pay was $300.00. I had to tell them I was going to reschedule my appointment at a later date so I can financially fit it in my budget. I’m hoping that if I get everything done it will chew that cost down more. Well see. If not it will come out of my tax refund. (the new coach bag will have to wait..lol ;-) )
Who knows maybe we’ll be having our surgery about the same time!
Again good luck with everything and if you have any questions about the test feel free to give me a holler…
