Dr. Glass had me do blood work to test my serum (vitamins, iron) as well as white and red blood cell count.
I figured I would waist no time and had it done today. Man I am a sissy when it comes to needles I could not even watch them poke me.

08/13/2010 - 1st. meeting with Dr. Glass

So, I had my first visit with Dr. Glass yesterday. I have never been so exited and disappointed at the same time in my life.
I was 340 lbs and blood pressure of 189/109. I was scared to death of what I have done to myself and disappointed - why don't I take care of ME?
The exiting part is that I'm doing something about it NOW and is ready to commit a lifetime of change.
He asked me what kind of diets I had tried to loose weight. I guess I have never thought of it before, but 15 minutes later I had told him about 10-12 from the age of 10. (How sad!) I loose weight and then gain it back + 15 lbs a few weeks later.
Dr. Glass told me that it will take 6-8 months before the insurance will let me have the surgery (BCBS), but I'm ready to start now by doing every thing that is asked.
I will start seeing a dietitian next week.
