"I heard about Dr. Rebchook from a friend and was excited to hear there was someone in my area that did WLS. I went in to Dr. Rebchook to find out why my previous VBG surgery was not working. He listened to everything that I had to say as well as asked me many questions. After talking with him at length, he suggested I see a dietician (which was not part of my post op care from the previous surgery) and also to have an upper GI to rule out any existing problems with the current surgery I had in place. I was pleased that he did not suggest surgery and suggested we could still make work what I had. However, after the upper GI was done, Dr. Rebchook called me personally (which I felt was nice to do, usually you only get to talk to the nurses) to inform me the surgery had failed. The staples were leaking and the band opening was extremely small. My options were to #1 leave things as is (which would most likely lead to future weight gain and difficulty in weight loss) or #2 consider having a revision to the surgery and going with the RNY. After much research and time waiting for my insurance I have been approved for the RNY. Dr. Rebchook & his nurse Carrie have been great to work with. They have answered every one of my calls and questions and I feel confident that this choice is the correct one for me. THANK YOU Dr. Rebchook and Carrie, you guys are the greatest. "
