I am actually feeling pretty decent today.  The swelling has gone down significantly and the second run of antibiotics seems to be kicking in.  My belly is still read, but at least I don't have a lump there anymore.  My appetite has increased, but after tracking my food for the day, I see I am barely consuming 700 calories.  I guess I should try eating more food, or drinking more protein drinks.  I went out walking today with Lucy and it was good for both of us.  She has such high energy and I needed the exercise.

I am down to 205 now, which feels good.  My clothes aren't tight and I feel like I can breath again.  Only 80 more pounds to goo!

Well I was in the hospital two days, apparently the surgery took a lot longer then anticipated.  When I left the hospital I was 5 pounds heavier then when I went in, weighing at a whooping 218!  I am not 10 days out and I am down to 207.  I was feeling pretty good after day 4 and I was getting around good enough.  

Yesterday I had my post op appointment with Dr. Paya and he said that he thought I might have a infection and put me on antibiotics.  Unfortunately, after one dose I had a allergic reaction and was unable to take the liquid form.  I am now having to crush capsules and drink it, and let me tell you, that is gross!

Dr Paya told me that the reason my surgery took so long was that he found a hiatle hernia and that I had so much scar tissue that my stomach was attached to my liver.  Apparently he had to cut all the scaring away.

Anyway, I can feel a big difference from the lap band already, anything I eat and drink basically keeps me full, unlike before.  It is a good feeling.

Now if I could get rid of the infection and the pain I will be doing good!

Well, I have surgery scheduled at West  Hills Hospital on Monday.  They are putting in a lapband to correct issues I was having with my food dumping through my stomach.  I am so relieved to have some sort of help and I am looking forward to feeling better and continuing weightloss.
