"I thought overall the staff at St. Joe's was the best I had experienced. My daughter has had about 18 surgeries and has been in every hospital in Lexington, Pikeville and a couple in Tennesse and at Norton in Louisville. We thought the staff at St. Joe's was the nicest we had experienced at any of them. They are friendly and was there to help. They were quick to respond when I needed them. My daughter was in the hospital at the same time I was. We have talked about how nice everyone was. She likes the rooms she stayed in at Norton best, but I like the rooms at St. Joe's because of the extra seating area for the family. Anyway, the staff was wonderful and I will continue to express that to others I talked too. I will focus in the future of using the Doctors that use St. Joe's. Thanks for everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"I already had a positive impression before I met Dr. Steiner because of comments I heard while having my E-scope at St. Joe's. When I met him I thought he was \"easy on the eyes\". The first visit I had at the office was not the best impression because it seemed there was tension with some of the staff, \"loud comments from one in the back to the receptionist\" that made me very uncomfortable. I did not appreciate her attitude toward her coworker in front of patients. Also, I talked to some of the staff members on several occassions and there was one imparticular person that I thought to be rude and short. However, on later visits things to seem be normal. If you want a particular doctor you have to look over their staff. I cannot say all of them disappointed me. They all did a great job. There was nothing I did not like about my Dr. I rate him a 10 out of 10. I think both bedside manner and surgical competence are important to the patient. Of course surgical competence is the most critical, but bedside manner makes it sooooo much easier. I want to mention Dr. Steiner made special efforts to check on my daughter that was admitted to the hospital 4 hours before my surgery and continued to check on her without me asking just to make me feel at ease. You cannot find that kindnest very often. I will be forever greatful."
