Foamies
Jan 30, 2010
OK, now I know what the foamies are. I went to a lace making class and stupidly ate the chicken soup made for the group (instead of the tuna I brought with me). About an hour after lunch I felt like I needed to throw up, but couldn't. I finally decided I had to leave. About a mile down the road, I really needed to throw up - but of course there were no bags in the car and it was raining and sleeting, so I didn't want to get out. I got to drive all the way home (about 30 minutes) swallowing more and more foam. Once I got home I threw up foam - just foam. Tried the meat tenderizer trick and then got to throw up meat tenderizer. Once my stomach settled a little, I tried the meat tenderizer again and it (apparently) worked. Several hours later I managed to down some crackers with peanutbutter and a protein lemonade.
Today I feel sore. Today I'm going to stick to soft food.

My first day of Phase II
Dec 28, 2009
Today I'm 14 days out and ready to start Phase II. Technically, I'm probably not supposed to start until the Dr says so (appt is tomorrow at 8:25AM), but I really needed food. Breakfast was a scrambled egg, which I couldn't quite finish - too full. Lunch was boiled shrimp (oooooooo, it was wonderful) which I chewed as much as I could - hope it was enough. Afternoon snack was hummus. Dinner will be broiled salmon.
With the start of real food, I'm not getting enough protein. And I know I'm running low on my water. My doctor as a one hour before and after rule for water. With 3 meals a day (not even counting snacks) that uses up 7.5 hours a day when I'm not drinking water. I can't figure out how to get enough water in at 1 cup per hour.
So far, knock on wood, everything is going well. The food seems to be processing just fine. No nausea. Not miserably full. No pain.
