I'm from Worcester, MA & had Laparoscopic RNY on 7/1/02. Just days prior to surgery, I ended up with a severe sore throat, so bad it was painful to swallow. I took my meds & prayed -- and all went ahead as scheduled! I know it will for you, too! Wishing you all the best as you begin your new life! Hi again everyone. Just wanted to give a little update on Anne. Her surgery is on Monday, only 3 days away! She woke up this morning with a fever of over 102, unfortunately she has another leg infection. She is on high doses of antibiotics, so hopefully the infection will start to go. If she does not have a fever the surgery is still on. Please just keep Anne in your thoughts and prayers. She has been looking forward to this for so long and I would hate to see something else complicate her journey. Also, don't forget to post your messages to Anne on her surgery page when you get the chance. Thanks again to all! :o) Anne's cousin and Angel ... Aimee

Hi everyone, I am Aimee Larkin, Anne's cousin and Angel. I just wanted everyone to know Anne's surgery is scheduled one week from today on August 19th. Anne has been looking forward to this and is eager to start her new life. When you get a chance please drop Anne a line and send her some good wishes and prayers. Good luck on your coming surgery. My prayers are with you, and hoping for an uneventful surgery, and a speedy, painfree recovery. Keep your focus on healing. Make sure you walk, and keep up your breathing exercise. YOU CAN DO THIS! See you on the other side.

Anne, just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in your feelings. I'm like you. My surgery is Tuesday and I seem to be mad at the world at one minute and elated (sp) the next minute. I have really taken it out on my poor husband. Anyway, I just wanted to say you are not alone and good luck on your surgery. May God bless you and keep you. Jackie Gilley
