My name is Vavouna. I live in Mass. I have been overweight most of my adult life. I have been on NUMEROUS diets and have lost weight...but only to have it all come back and then some more. I've done Weight Watchers (I have so many of those books that I could start my own weight watchers group) Atkins (gained weight on that from cheating and eating all that high fat food) pills...starvation..phen phen..you name it...Marie's done it. I started considering WLS maybe 8 years ago but never persued it. A co worker of mine had gastric bypass a few years ago...but now she regrets it because she is having a lot of complications from it...so I am choosing to have the lap band done. I'm tired of carrying this weight around both physically and emotionally and can't wait to be free and live my life in a healthier manner. I pray that everything goes well during my journey and that I can join all of you on the underside. It's such a privilage to be part of the OH family. I have learned so many wonderful things here and have met some really fantastic people. I take strenght and motiviation from your stories and hopefully someday soon...I will be there too. Thank you.
