I am 34 years old. I have 2 daughters ages 11 and 6. And a 7 month old son. I have been married for 12 years. I had VBG in August of 2001. I lost about 100 lbs within about a year and a half. When I got pregnant with my second baby I started eating foods that were easier to deal with. I still was vomiting with some foods and meat so I started eating softer foods or foods that compacted well when chewed. So basically, I sabatoged myself. A few months after the baby was born, I had an endoscope and found that I had excessive scar tissue around the band opening and that was causing the vomiting. that was in 2004. At that time, our insurance had changed and they excluded any surgeries due to prior weight loss surgery complications. Fast forward a few years. I changed jobs and the new insurance will cover. yay! So I was actually approved in 2009 but, thats when we found out we were pregnant with baby number 3! suprise! All is well ! I decided to go ahead and push for the surgery this year anyway becasue I am afraid if I wait any longer, the insurance may change. So my surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, October 5th.
