My surgery was on Wednesday July 23rd. It’s been 10 days so far and things are going good. I had to stay a few extra days in the hospital because I had so much swelling that I was throwing up so it took a few days longer for me to have liquids. I ended up going home on Sunday July 27th. The nurses there were great. I was the only patient left Saturday afternoon and Dr. Boe came to visit a few times. He was so nice and I am so glad he did my surgery. I just finally reached my 64 oz goal yesterday. With each passing day everything gets easier. Showering, drinking, sleeping…it all gets easier each day. I am so glad I had this surgery and can’t wait for the weight to be falling off.

Now I can actually say, this isn't so bad. The first 2 days were hard. Thank God I had my husband. He has been my rock thru this. He is getting me out of the house every night to take a walk and encourages me. I am so grateful for him. My surgery is in 6 days but who's counting....ME, that's who. I can't wait. I am not nervous at all. I am so excited. I get to have time off from work, cleaning and cooking...and get skinny in the process. I love the protein shakes. I thought I would hate them but they are good. I lost 11 pounds as of today, not bad at all. I hope to lose another 9 by my surgery.

I am so excited July 23rd is my day. I can't wait.

YES, I am approved. Thank GOD. They submitted my insurance information on Thursday, June 19th and I was approved Friday, June 20th which happened to be our 5 year wedding anniversary. I am so excited. I got my letter in the mail today and ran home at lunch to get it so I can fax it to Barix in case they didn't get their copy yet. I don't want to waste any time. I am praying that I will have surgery at the end of July. They told me that my file had to go to Dr.Boe then they will call me to tell me my surgery date. She said that takes about 5-7 days.  WHAT? Don't they know I have been waiting for 6 months. I guess another week won't kill me. I just want to know my date so I can plan.

Well, I'm supposed to be on my 6 month Dr supervised diet for my insurance and i gainned 4 pounds the first month and 7 pounds the second month. What the heck??? 11 pounds. I am going in the wrong direction. I just pray that I can get on track and at least lose a total of 10 pounds...well now 21 pounds. This is making me crazy.

Well, today was my first step to fat freedom. I just have to get a few test done and wait to hear from the insurance company. I know I am going to have to do a 6 month diet with a Dr and am not looking forward to it. I don't want to wait that long. I've waited long enough. I guess I don't have a choice and good things come to those who weight....I mean wait.
