"I felt that Dr. Ameri was very professional and knowledgeable yet kind and friendly. My first impression of him was when I went to see him with my partner. I was very direct and asked him a lot of questions about mortality and his track record. He was equally direct in his answers and I never felt he thought he needed to say anything but the complete truth. That made a very good impression. When I went to see him for myself I also met with his nurse Louise and over time I got to know others in his office. They are all very supportive and friendly and direct. Now that I am post-surgery, I continue to feel the same way about him. Just before surgery they and I realized that I had not done the preparation just right. I was embarrassed and worried that the surgery would not go ahead. Both Louise and Dr. Ameri scolded me a little about it and that didn't feel good but they were right and everything turned out okay. I have worked in hospitals and been the point person in a family member's surgery. I have had experiences in the past of arrogance and too busy attitudes that can be there even when a surgeon is a very skilled one. I think Dr. Ameri is an excellent surgeon and I also suspect he is a really fine human being as well. So far I haven't see even a hint of arrogance. He is a good fit for me."
