I began my weight gain when I was pregnant with my son 36 yrs ago. Before that I was comfortable with my weight and seemed to stay within a few pounds of 150 pounds. However, I took other people seriously when they told me I was eating for 2 when I was pregnant. I also spent a lot of time in bed due to threat of miscarraige so did not get exercise. After my son was born I only had to lose 50 pounds. But I gained that back plus which started my yo yo dieting until today when 120 pounds will get me back to 150. I have tried just about every weight loss method known to man including becoming hooked on illegal speed. I have tried diets etc, that I made up, those the Dr. presribed and everything in between. Always losing and gaining +. I am capable of losing but incapable of maintaining. Therefore the maintenence will be an important part of my post surgery routine.
I also need to say that I met a wonderful man on match.com and we married almost 2 yrs ago. Yes I met my share of toads and frogs (and I'm sure some of them thought the same of me) and I was scared to death of meeting this way because I didn't know what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised.
