This has not been an easy journey for me.. I always seem to have a little bit harder time than it should be.. I weigh 261, and will have RNY tomorrow,2-16-09, I am really excited about getting help with my weight, and off of my meds... I had the surgery, come out of it throwing up, sick to my stomach...They give me blue icecubes to eat, to see if anything is leaking, boy do they make me sick, and gag, and the whole mess. Time for pain med, (liquid) again, makes me terible sick, next morning I complain, I'm stuck to sheet or something, no one tries to find out what is wrong... after 1 nite, I have an open bed sore,on my bottom...they come to take me to x-ray, while telling me to scoot on table, they jerk my J-tube out, (that the nurse told me was sutured in), act like no big deal, Really, really hurts at site....By this time, I kinda get over being sick to stomach, but want nothing to eat, but thristy. Ice chips...ok.... 2nd day, 2 more open bedsores, report them, nothing done.....bed still not changed, 3rd day, complain of bottom being sore, nothing done again or applied....go home 4th day, complaining of bottom and tube site extremly sore, nothing applied, or sent home.. bed sores heal in 2 wks, or so, but were really painful, 4 1/2 wks after surgery, and j-tbe site still extremly sore.... That is the way things always go for me...But, the weight is comming off, Yea...... just slowly. But with The help of God, things will greatly improve, they always do....Until later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
