Sep 14, 2012

I am now 8 months out and have lost 121 lbs. I started at 273 and am now 152!! Whew Whoo!! It is unreal how much I can now do with my children that I didnt realize I couldnt do before. I am always up and playing, dancing and just being a mom! It feels so Great. I would like to lose 7-10 more lbs. but honestly if I dont thats ok too. Im very comfortable where im at :) My family has been a wonderful support system and Im very lucky to have them. My daughter (13) is starting to get worried that Im going to catch up to her size...hahaha I can wear some of her clothes but she doesnt have anything to worry about...im not going that small. I can pretty much eat anything...but lately I cannot drink milk...at all!! I take my vitamins everyday and exercise at least 5 days a week 20-30 min a day. I was getting lazy with the exercise for about a month but I have gotten back into my routine and it feels Great!!

I feel Wonderful!!! I just had my 6 week check up and everything is going good. My Iron is still a little low but thats it. I am down 43 lbs. and 2 sizes in shirts and pants :) Everyday just gets easier and easier. We went to dinner and I had no problem watching my family eat pancakes, crepes and biscuits and gravy....I enjoyed my grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Healthy foods taste so much better than it ever has...the weight loss doesn't hurt either...I'm moving right along! My husband has even started buying sugar free stuff for the kids at the store. I love it! 7 more pounds and I will be at my first goal...50 lbs. lost! Wow how great thats going to feel :)

Jan 17, 2012

Hello. Things are Great!! I'm 22 days post-op and loving life. I have lost 28 pounds so far and feel wonderful! Im getting in all my protein and exercising 30 min. a day. I love my treadmil!! I am still having a little trouble getting in all my liquids everytime I'm really thirsty I just ate so have to wait to drink. But it's getting better each day. I am in the process of getting my family just as healthy as I feel!! My husband is making it a little hard but he's starting to come around. I just have to make sure and go to the store with him everytime we go grocery shopping. Last time I didn't go the kids ate cookies and ice cream all week. I'm so happy there are surgeries out there for people like us. We have all tried so hard all our lives to be healthy and thin and now we have a chance to live again!! Thank You all for all the support and posts that have helped me get this far :)

2 days after surgery

Dec 28, 2011

Well I had my surgery Dec. 26th. the surgery itself went good. After surgery I went to my private room and that was the beginning o fmy nightmare. The nurse and nurses aid had no clue what they were doing. I asked for pain meds never got any unti l6 hrs.later when the new nurse (my savior) came on her shift. It was horrible but lesson learned never be in the hospital by yourself after a main surgery...Always have someone stay with you!! I went home the next afternoon and was still in A lot of pain. Now I am on my second day home and things are getting a little better. I was able to walk a bi tmore today but the gas is crazy i think that is the most painful part out of everything. Im having trouble getting allmy liquids in but im trying. Everytime I drink water or a protein shake my stomache hurts almost immediately. So it took me 2 hrs. to get my 8 oz. shake down but hey I did it!! I'll write a little more in a couple days and let you know how im progressing...
