My heart really goes out to you TJWOOD. I was considering using Dr. Schlesinger for my surgeon to perform my lap-band surgical procedure. But after reading your post, I will definitly not have him perform my surgery. I hope that many other potential lap band recipients will reconsider their decision as well. I know quite a few people that had the lap band surgery and are doing very well, but of course they didn't have Dr. Schlesinger as their surgeon either. I guess it just goes to show you that not every doctor is whay they seem to be. Your doctor seems to be very negligent and not very qualified to be performing the lap-band. I am so sorry you are going through this whole ordeal. I am happy that you posted your experience and struggles with the lap band and is very insightful in my decision making in who will be my surgeon. Dr. Schlesinger was on my list, but I don't want any complications that you had. I heard Dr. Berger in Flag Staff is very good and all his lap band patients out come have been successful.
