2 weeks post op and LOVING my butterfly process!

It's been 2wks since my surgery, and I'm loving every moment of it! I was looking at some of my old pictures befor my surgery and I began to cry because I realized that was me in all of those pictures smiling on the outside but crying and dying on the inside. Since 3/20 I've lost a total 18lbs from my pre surgery weight of 278 and I'm now 260.5lbs and loosing! I've shaking up what has been my daily routine of 3 ozs of protein shakes and decided to try some cream of chicken soup with unflavored whey. The whey made it sweet which was something I wasn't expecting and was kind of weird, but everything went down smooth.
It's an awesome adventure right now and I'm looking forward to continuing to lose weight. I'm also looking foward to my post op appointment on the 17th of this month just to know that when I step on the scale I'll weigh less than what I just weighed myself at yesterday. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can and can't eat anymore as well. I know that sounds crazy but this is a lifestyle change and process and of course it will bother me some but I'll adjust.

My surgery went off without a hitch or complication! I'm 5days post op, and I'm excited about the things to come for me. Dr. Cerabona and his staff at Surgerical Intensivist have been the most positve and helpful people I've ever worked with. I had a little scare yesterday because because of my history of clots I thought I had one in my lung which turned out to be negative. I found out while talking to the Dr. who was on call yesterday from Dr. Cerabona's office that they found a small hernia that they repaired while doing my sleeve surgery which had me a little upset to know I wasn't told this in the 2days in the hospital because it would've helped me understand that the pain I was feeling in my lower back into my shoulder area was muscle related and all I needed to do was apply heat to the area to sooth it.
I'm healing nicely and my Daughter who has been a real trooper in the last 5yrs with her Mom having two strokes, and WLS is watching me like a hawk to make sure I don't hurt myself or over exert myself. She has even taking the risk of texting me while in school to make sure I was okay at home because I know if I am not she will risk the consequences of leaving school without permission to come home and see if I am okay. 9ozs of liquid protein shake is going well, but I'm already preparing my first real meal because that's where the real work begins to find out what I can and can't tolerate anymore.
I'm in a good place and my butterfly process continues.
