My name is Tiffanie.  I live in Ontario CA, where I work full time as an administrative assistant.  I have a wonderful husband who supports me in everything I do and a very spoiled 7 yr old black lab named Rosie.  I am very close with my family (brothers and families) and spend a lot of time  with beautiful neices and nephew.

I have battled my weight and had an unhealthy relationship with food my entire life.  I tried 1000 times over the years, 1000 different ways to lose weight with some successes, but never long term success.  The weight always comes back and usually brings company.

At 45, I am type 2 diabetic with high blood pressure, chronic bronchitis.  I have had a toe amputated due to diabtetic complications, and I have to have regular injections in my eye to combat other diabetic conplications leading to blindness.  I feel it has all led up to the crossroads I see myself in front of now.  If I continue on the path that I'm on, life will be miserable, and spent in doctor's offices, and in front of my tv.  But thankfully the other path looks more hopeful. This path takes me through the scary and exciting journey of weight loss surgery and hopefully leads to a life worth living.  Healthy, free to do what I want and having the energy to do so!

I am grateful to have found this forum to have other people that have been through, and are going through this experience as well.
