In March, I decided I wanted to have WLS for sure... just days before my 30th birthday. I told myself my 30s would be different than the last 10 years of my life.
I had a couple slight setbacks trying to get a referral for WLS, but I finally found a doctor that took my concerns seriously and referred me (April 4, 2012). My therapist sent a referral for me, as well. I attended the WLS educational seminar on June 4, saw my PCP on June 26th,met with my surgeon on June 27th, had my Echo and Stress Test on June 28th (today), and tomorrow (June 29) is my psych eval. I'm waiting for a call from the Sleep Disorders Center about my sleep study. This week has been packed with lots of appointments.
So I know there will be more appointments in preparation, but was told if my echo and stress test come back, I won't have to go to a cardiologist. And I don't have a set time for my physician monitored diet... so that's good to know too, but I'm still following up with my PCP about my diet and exercise routine and goals.
I am to attend the support group on August 14th..... There isn't one for July, but that's okay. :-)
