Time flies!  ok...I'm officially three months out....and I have hit a stall .  I still have been successful.  I'm down 70lbs!  I can't believe that!

I'm mad at myself because I haven't started exercising....I think that will help w/ the stall.  I really need to do something! 

I'm almost 3 weeks post op and starting to feel like my old self....not quiet there.  During my hospital stay I had lost my voice and have yet to get it back....3 weeks of barely being able to talk!  (My son loves it!)

I'm still on my pureed/soft foods diet and on Wednesday next week I can start introducing reg foods back in!  Looking forward to that!

I went to a Christmas party tonight, I'm glad I went.  But I did tucker out very fast.  Feel bad for the date I took cause I was home by 9:30...but still glad that I had gone (Thanks to everyone that responded to my post on if I should have gone or not).

I'm a lil nervous about next week...I start back to work and back to school....I'm still too tired to do a lot of things around the house...but I figured I should jump and get started.

That's all I have for now....post a lil later next week to let you know how my first day back to work and school goes.

Got my staples out yesterday!!!  I have lost a total of 19lbs so far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was very excited to hear about that:)

I have to stay on pureed foods for another 2 weeks then I get to start solids, looking forward to solid foods!

After getting my staples out yesterday I guess a little part of my incision did not close and it started bleeding when I had gotten home.  No worries, nurse said to bandage it up and it will heal it's self.   Have the steri-strips on my incision (I had open RNY), have one more week w/ that and it should be healed!  I still have 1 month w/ this binder on....feels like I'm wearing a tight pair of pants all the time!

I made it through Christmas w/ out any problems....it was hard emotionally not to be able to eat the same foods w/ my family but I know its worth it all in the end.

I start back to work on the 7th!  Looking forward to getting back to a routine...

WOW!  Well, Monday was my surgery.  Was a very nervous day for me, but all went well.

I woke up in recovery in so much pain!!!!   I was so worried about everything else that I didn't consider the pain....I know, silly.  I seem to be moving around a lot and trying to do everything for myself.  

I'm already on pureed foods, which is nice.  get to have some christmas dinner:)  

I get my staples out next Wednesday!!! Lookin forward to that!

Other then that all is well, just try to adjust my self in my home....made it easier being at the hospital.

Well, this is it, tomorrow is my surgery.  The time flew by so quickly!  I'm going through a mix of emotions right now....but I know I will be ok in the end.  Will post when I get back from the hospital to give an update

I've got a date!  It's weird, I thought I would be more excited...but when I got the date I had all types of emotions go through me.  Don't get me wrong, I am excited to have it done...but I'm also very nervous about the "what if".

My surgery date is December 17th!!!!! WOW!

It should be a good day....I got my approval letter finally.  But my day ended up being total crap.  I was at a party today and someone brought up I was going to have the WLS.  A lady had said, don't you think that you should try diet and exercise before you consider the exteme?  GEE, WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT????  That was very irritating.  But probably the most hurtful thing that was done is that my sister (who was there) did not stickup/defend me.  

Since I told my sis (my BFF) it has been tense.  She thinks that I'm taking the easy way out.  She says that I could try harder to work out and watch what I eat.  She says the reason the other diets and exercise programs didn't work is because I give up on them....My sister is my "support" for after my surgery...how can I have her for support???  She says she also doesn't support me cause I may die and how can she support something that may kill me....grrr

I'm hurt and don't know what to do....Thanks for listening

I just got off the phone w/ my insurance company and I got my approval!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Now I have to wait for the dr. office to recv the letter of approval and then get to set a date!!!!  OMG!  I can't belive this!  I'm so happy

Insurance is requesting 6 months of dr. supervised diet...luckily I had done the optifast program this past winter.  They also are not sure if my phsyc exam will work, they may have different questions for me to answer.  So just waiting on Insurance.  I'll post when I hear something.

Well, the dr. office called today stating that my ins requires 5 years of history and they only have 2 years from my dr.  As soon as I get that to them they will submit to ins.!  Gonna get that done today!
