I got my Surgery Date - Nov 15, 2007
Nov 04, 2007
After trying for 4 years to have WLS, I finally have a surgery date!!!
Nov 15, 2007
I tried to have Gastric Bypass Surgery - I had gone through all the consults & required pre-certification appointments, even had 2 surgery dates, but my place of employment, made any type of weight loss treatment an exclusion.
At that time surgery was just too expensive for me.....
Then recently after having a few more comorbidities added to my health history, I decided I have got to do something.
I researched & looked into WLS again, this time around, the prices are cheaper, than they were 4 years ago. After some creative financing, draining my 401K and asking my parents, I came up with the $17,500.00 needed for LapBand surgery.
Now I have made it through all the pre-certification appointments, meetings & classes again, and have my date. Now I'm anxious to get it done, but as each day creeps by - I get just a little nervous.
I know this is the best thing I can do for my health, and a need a lifestyle change - no just another diet.
Well everybody - wish me luck. How would have thought becoming a "loser"
would be a good thing.
