"When I first went to Dr. Freeman's office I thought I was just there for a consultaion, but it actually turned out to be more of an informational seminar. I was in a conference room with about 10 other people who were also interested in having WLS and sat through a presentation about obesity and the various options to treat it (basically the same thing I sat through for several other surgeons, yet they were for free). At the end of the presentation Dr. Freeman came in and I was very impressed with him. He greeted everyone by name the first time he met us and still remembered them after he finished talking(my mother was so ticked, she actually just giggled like a little school girl with a crush when he shook her hand. He later explained that he knew all of our names because he saw the pics of us the took when we first walked in). He was very personable and helped everyone feel relaxed. I knew as soon as he finished talking that I didn't want anyone but him to do my surgery. His strong Christian faith and his philosophy of his practice (he calles it a ministry) helped me feel at ease with this decision. "
